Hi,


Anyone out there has experience with your child being transfered from another Sec School into AHS at Sec 2 ? That is to apply entry into AHS with Sec 1 results and then join them in Sec 2. What are their criterias ? Is AHS strong in Maths and Science ? AHS seems to focus in Chinese, so if my DS is not taking HMT, will he be placed in a lower grade class ? Any comments from anyone please ? Greatly appreciated

Hi takeshi80, it’s good that you’ve started this thread. I find that this school has very low profile and they are very secretive about their past ‘O’ level results. Is your ds/dd going into AHS next year?

Ooh... Umm actually I'm taking PSLE next year. I'm just checking up on some schools that I might be able to get into next year if for PSLE I got the results I got for SA2 this year....

Their 2010 GCE O level results are very good!Apparently,the website was only recently updated.

Thanks, studylikemad. Ya, I have gotten their detailed results during the parents-teachers conference. Btw, are you a student or parent there?

actually ahs had super good improvements this year. 2008’s batch only had 55 ppl with 6 or more A1’s, 2009 had 56, 2010’s(which is the most recent batch that graduated) had 96 i think. really great improvement!
