      plum-cake:
my dd bought LEGO bag from kinder fun at Center point. its $69. its large and light wt. she is in p2. her p1 bag is a normal wheel bag(barbie).still in good condition. but this time bcos her frens are using SPI she wanted it badly. so we went to CP n OG. AT OG lego bag is only 20% off from 145$. but at Cpoint its 69$. she is ok with that so I baught it.... pink is 79$.

My son's first school bag was a trolley...it didn't last.
Then got a Lego SPI for him...lasted for 2 years. When he moved up to P3, that bag was too small. His present SPI active is still in good shape.
Traded in his old Lego bag for another SPI active for daughter who's going to P1 next yr. Got a good deal from trade in.

Where do you guys buy labels?? Do you get the label machine or just write name on paper and then use scotch tape to paste on the stationery/bag? :?

I printed out DS1's name and then used scotchtape to paste over.

Just wondering, colour pencils got to label? I'm a bit worried such stuff go missing but think it's a bit overkill leh.

I got the Brother label maker...very easy to use, and uses 4 AA batteries.

For pencils/ colour pencils... I get those small 'soft' stars stickers from bookshops and use them as labels..
The Chinese word cards got to write chinese name... :faint:...

I'm first timer. Do you mean chinese word cards got to label piece by piece? I only stamp one label on the box leh.

Anyway, for pencils and small items, I printed out using excel in font 6/7 - english and chinese names all in (becos it's sap school mah).

I piak bigger labels (font 12 - with name in English/chinese and class) on the textbooks. workbooks and exercise books I think better to handwrite.

For those Chinese word cards, I wrote daughter's name on all of them...divided into 4 stacks...hubby, myself, daughter and older boy all wrote her name on each stack.

I buy the small colour dots from the stationary shops/popular and ask my dd to write her initials ex abc then paste them on to all stationaries. she enjoy doing that. I have the brother printer for naming bottle n l.box etc
