        tankee:
saw this tiny shop at Tanjong Pagar MRT exchange, stacked with containers of pineapple tarts.

Have anyone tried their pineapple tarts? good or not? 😄
        tankee,

bedok blk 16 market, the row of shophouses with 3 breadshops, at the very end nearest the carpark, they have ok pineapple tarts. not too bad. the other one that i don't mind is June Bakery - located at The Plaza (was called Plaza Hotel) along Beach Road.

I remembered this place in middle road - selling pineapple 'balls' - you remember we were 'talking' about this last year? its quite good, i enjoyed it too.

You guys must try the pineapple tart from the Tau Sar Piah shops at Balestier Rd. Bought one the other day and it was simply heavenly… better than the traditional pineapple tarts sold elsewhere and very fresh.

Last year, Cookie Museum (at Esplanade) made pineapple balls (with a twist, as usual, if I don’t remember wrongly, they added lotus seed). Nice but ex. I bought a tin and served only to "VIPs", or rather those who know how to appreciate.

If you like the buttery sort of pineapple tarts, you can try this shop in Everton Housing Estate, in the same block as the famous Ang Ku Kuey. They only made pineapple tarts during Chinese New Year. The pineapple tarts taste buttery and good when I bought them way before the CNY. However, when I buy them closer to CNY, they don’t taste as good. So, if you want to buy for own consumption, you can give this shop a try.

Anyone tried Mirana’s pineapple tarts? Heard its good and I’ve just placed orders for 8 small containers (500g) @ $14 each & loveletters $19. There’s currently a promo for every purchase of $65, you get a free CNY goodie of your choice ($14).

                    😎

Happened to be around Middle Rd today and decided to check out LeCafe since so many ksp forummers raved about them. Tried their pineapple balls and they're good. However, found them a bit pricey tho but there's a lot of filling and the crust, nice and buttery, so I guess one pays for quality. Also tried their kueh bangkit... nice. Somehow, reminds me of how my grandma used to make them for me years ago

They are still taking orders but collection is on 1 and 2 Feb. So, for those still interested, better do it soon before they stop order taking. According to the staff there, some Singaporeans placed their orders 7 months ago :!:
