      Hi,

Anyone can advise me which type of mattress is suitable for 11 & 7 yrs old ?
Went to The Furniture Mall yesterday and found a few types. Seems that latex is very popular but pricey. Can advise more about the latex mattress - advantages ?

Latex mattress can probably withstand the jumping by your children more than pocketed spring mattress. Indirectly this helps save money.

Latex mattresses confirm to your body shape and so it supports your body more. I find it much cooler as well.

My 2 dd have been using latex for at least the last 5 years and never have had to change the mattress. I think I would probably have had to change at least twice if I had used pocketed springs cos they had a tendency to step on their beds when they were much younger.

            I will advise latex

Any recommendation for brand? I’m looking for one that’ll it a pull out bed- about 6 inches. Has anyone tried Seahorse? Seems cheap n feels ok but don’t know what it’ll be like sleeping on it for a whole night. Any feedback?

What about Tempur? Super ex tho- over $1,700 for a single. Any feedback from users?

I buy King Koil for my kids...divan set. My kids are taught never to jump on beds.

Dh n I are using King Koil too! Very comfy. As for the seahorse brand, used it before the king Koil for about ten years. It’s cheap but very hard. Managed to sleep for so many years coz got used to it. After getting king Koil then we realized should hv change the seahorse long ago. Robinson is currently having sales on mattresses. Quite handsome discount. Will check it out for my kids’ mattress.

I bought for my son an IKEA latex mattress.

Its comfy and not too expensive (S$500).
The mattress is also thick enough to support the body contours so that his spine is well supported.
                      🙂
