Hi Cherrygal - did you put your boy in TLC for the student care? I kindof noticed the names of boys going to TLC on the class notice board!! Wonder if this is related to the school or something?

      Hi Vicki
Nope, mine not at TLC. I put him in one near my mom.

Can i chk for BASC (BeforeAfterSchoolCare), what are the activities like? Is it lunch, nap then homework/tuition? Do they also take a bath there?

Bath, lunch, no nap, do homework, tuition (may not be available at all centres), play with older kids. Bath is optional at some centres. My son really enjoys student care... ahhaha :offtopic:

My son went to a student care at Toa Payoh. Not sure if it was just yesterday with no homework. Instead of reading, he played the whole afternoon. And when back at home at night, he was so tired he slept. No time for revision.

Both myself and my hb are still attending full day tomorrow.

Btw, i'm still bringing the Chinese and Maths textbooks - just in case!

Have you guys received your timetable yet? I have PE on monday so i wonder if it means this whole year my ds will not need to put on tie (since can wear PE shirt and shorts on PE days)!!
Hahaha, same thoughts here, my ds has PE on Mondays too.

Im very happy with my school bus!! The timing is cool - almost the same as if we drove!! We did a test today. I brought ds down and waited for the bus - then bye bye him - and dh drove me down to the school - dropped me off on the opposite side of the road (so that he can go back at Serangoon Central) - i walked into school and waited for his bus at the waiting area and its only a 5mins wait!! So driving time almost = school bus time!!

Going home was the same!! As in i reach the \"drop off\" point abt 5 mins before he came back! My mil was also surprised by the \"efficiency\" of the bus!!

                Lets see what happens 2ml....
                hi vicki

whc area do u stay and how long was the sch bus ride?

At 7.15am, my son told me he was hungry. I was happy cos he did not like to eat and always claimed to be full. Then during recess, he threw away half his rice, finished the drink and ate half a pack of crackers! I don't like the crackers and the drink should be given after meal.

is it the kids eat inside the classroom? got any teacher to supervise them during recess or they are just left alone and choose not to eat the catered food if they dont like that? if its like that then still better to tabao some own food to eat in the classrm

                        24hr-mum:

bigfoot, i guess if u hv a daughter, wld aim for st nicks....

My DW worried abt P1 if we have a daughter cos her Pri Sch was in Bukit Merah area. Yes, St Nicks would be good but we may have to go in at Phase 2C and U know what will happen if we are unsuccessful. Furthermore, we are more than 2 km from St Nicks. Nearest would be Ai Tong (1-2km). Anyway, like I said, it is a happy problem for me. Haha.

hi bigfoot, i thot u qualify in 2b for st nick?
for ai tong, ballotg is within 1km. so i think u cant aim for that. got to aim for marymt convent or kuo chuan, i assuming u stay in bishan. if u move to serangoon, can try PLMGS if u hv a gal

one thing i dont like abt st nick is the late dismissal for my girl. mon, wed, thu is 1.45pm. super late. if i were to shift becos of MS, my girl comes hm even later. lunch is almost 3pm. sigh. so i m still hesitating. what is the dismissal time at MS?
