can i ask will most of you be giving money to your boys for recess or pack food from home initially? and if give pocket money, how much you think is enough? $1.00?

My plan is for my son to pack food fr home. But the first few days since they will be helped by the older boys, i'll get him to buy food from the canteen to get some practice. chicken rice cost abt 9O cents, i'll prob give $1.50?

I am under the impression that there will no proper recess on 1st 2 days hence boys are asked to bring snacks. It is written in the orientation booklet. Haha then again, staff may claim that they have not said so in the communication!

Btw, which class are your boys in? Mine's Gabriel. Any differentiation ie ranking of classes in P1?

Sound like its same as last year where the 1st couple of days are half days and so there is no recess time.


No ranking of the different classes in P1. And they should all move to P2 together as a class.

So basically, the first 2 days, ours boys will really not be doing anything in school except to settle down and get to know their teachers & friends, get their school time-table, etc?


when the boys are older, will there be "ranking" of class? though their is not by ABC order but by saints’ order, I believe there is still some sort of differentiation?

Hi P1 parents! How was your first day experience? I was so excited for my boy though he was the least bothered. Spoke to one of his classmate 's parent and the live in Woodlands. Gosh, the boy will board the school bus at 10.50 am daily for school. How early is that? And God knows what time he’ll reach home. Poor thing!

There is differentiation at P3 level, usually two Band 1 classes and yes, it goes by the saint’s name.

Yup, i spoke to that centre.
They said they will make arrangement for transport to sent the kidz over to centre. Cost absorbed by the school. (The cost u have to reconfirm with school)

You may want to checkup the derbyshire kindergarten, now they having pioneer prices, a big promotion. They can walk your kids to school.
