      E3:

My dd was in different CCAs in P1 and P2 for trying out. This year, she'll take up another different one but they will most likely commit till P6 so choose wisely.
      Thank you, E3 & Funx3.

In your opinion/experience, will 2 CCAs be too tough to maintain? I hope ds can take up a sport CCA and I know ds will want to join the robotic club.

Hi stressmum, which class is ur ds in? πŸ™‚

Hi Mrsbongz, he is in Integrity 11. ( 11/11! ahahha... since there are only 11 P1 classes, he is in the last!)

        NO-la!

In Keeping With PH New Class Re-Naming System for Upper Primary,
Integrity 11 Means it's the TOP Class - le! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰[/quote]The new naming system has really sent the parents into a whirlpool.. Still prefer the previous, Truth, Kindness etc..

Thanks again, php. Appreciate your sharing. E3 has sent me a link to a forum thread on this so now I know there are many resources out there.

Guess I have been living in the well all this time!

That depends. If the child can cope with school work at ease, does not have much external programs, widening their exposure is definitely a good thing.

I know of a girl who did wushu, chinese S&D, piano (external) and ballet (external). She graduated from PH last year with flying colours.

IMO, most importantly, the child must enjoy the learning process. πŸ˜‰

Thanks for all the replies! It wasnt stated on my DD's timetable thats why I was puzzled. I guess its gonna be like a free period for the kids.

BTW I find the food isnt cheap in the canteen.. DD told me she bought noodles for $1 yesterday.

don think it's a free period, I VAGUELY remember P mentioning during Tues' talks that it is for both FT n co-FT to get to know the children.. iirc.. yes, I agree food's not cheap, drinks too.. it's like 3x what i use to spend in pri sch!!

Nice number!! can buy 4d!! 11/11 2011... looks like some of the P1 classes have received their timetables.. my ds hasn't though, i hope he didn't convert it to some paper airplane or football

Never thought of it! Might consider trying my luck this weekend.'Don't worry, the ball will bounce back/airplane will fly back onto its landing pad soon! Mrsbongz, which class is your darling in?

As Long as the schedule Not Clash, Should B No Problem.

My Gal has Been Spending Min 3 Afternoons for School Sports CCA Since P1, and Join School Team for Inter-School Competitions since P2 till Now.

As Long As your Kid Enjoy it and Manage the Time Well, Should B OK.
Enjoy Trying Out the CCA to Find the One He Love to Commit to.
