He is never top top in his school thru-out these year nor PSLE. know some got higher t-score than him also not going to ispark. He is quite worried and afraid they might have mistaken.ApronMama

Mainstreamers are placed in ispark if they do well enough in the GAT. I guess if your sons scored well enough in the GAT, that’s an indication that they’ll be able, at least in the eyes of the school, to cope with the enriched curriculum, so don’t worry.
The GAT (an aptitude test) is a better predictor of success than achievement tests like the PSLE. I was told by the ispark director that the school has seen boys who score top marks in PSLE struggle in sec school. -

When I went to buy books, was told the difference between ispark and others is only Maths text books. And I bot all mainstream books. Is Maths the main difference in their curriculum? Some told me they start from pure physics , Chem and Biology and not lower sec science, is that true? -
Will hwa chong also allow those who are not in ispark to go for maths olympiad?

Oh, SMO is open to everyone in Singapore so long as you register and pay regardless of which school you go to. Most school organize.
