No worries as they progress the teacher will get the better student to help the weaker students. That is another interesting dimensions as able to understand, able to apply the concept and able to teach others show different level of understandings that each child had.
DS doing pretty ok, thanks. Apparently ds is quite tall for his age so he got to sit at the back row. He has a good friend already in class. Today CL teacher started formal lessons, teaching hanyin pinyin but ds said he finds it boring cos Berries already taught him that last yr. That's the trouble with being over-prepared.janet_lee88:
Hi markfch,
How was your son's first day yesterday ? Did he find the teachers/school overwhelming ? Sorry if I missed your post earlier...yet to settle my clock of having to sleep early and wake up early. -

Poor kids. Actually it's very bad to have lack of sleep. That's why I raised an eyebrow when I read that parents are willing to let their kids travel half the island just to send them to popular schs.
He told me teacher will blow whistle at 720am :? Asked him what for ?
Some kids sleep in the canteen when they reach school early (those taking school bus). 720am is a 'wake-up call' to get ready for assembly. -
Mrsbongz:
mrsbongz, you got the abovementioned timetable? DS also mentioned something about timetable but doesn't know where he put it.Stressmum, my ds is in Int 8

Oh my, that's a whole lot of chinese words that i cant read!!! Better start saving up now for chinese tuition

DS said the wanton noddle is very nice @ $1.20. Don't know whether it's nice cos ds finds it a satisfaction buying his own food or it's really nice. Anyway can ask your ds to try.
haha...my ds 'out done' your ds then, he bought chicken rice and 100 plus, left just $0.10!

Hi dyh,
I flip my son’s books more often than him…in fact, I flip all his books frequently during the holidays esp Chinese…use Besta to write the hanyu pinyin below the difficult characters. Actually we parents are studying harder than back then we were schooling. Do you agree ? -

Very funny ks2010. At the rate that this thread is expanding, I really don't think anyone can keep scores, keke. I've been away for only 2 days, and then this thread expanded by 30 pages. So now trying my best to catch up before the busy day tomorrow. -
