Ok, will bring it down...Thanks for the advise! 😄

To tell you the truth, I didn't check the inside of the bag when I bought it...assumed that all is perfect since brand new and wrapped with plastic.

          Hi all parents,

I know I am kind of late to ask as school has started… Pls help me with some advices. I was looking thru the past posts & noticed that the popular school bags are Deuter, Impact, SPI & cheaper ones are from Popular.

I actually have 2 ego bags (hand down but new) for my kids too but I guess those were in storage for too long & the colour actually fades. My poor girls’s shoes are now with the red stain after accidently kicked the bag. My hands also become red after reaching into the bag to place books etc.

Hence, I need to buy sch bags at this moment. My older boy used Impact & Popular before & I find them too bulky & very hot at the back.

I am a person who needs to buy new sch bags every year. Would appreciate if anyone can share with me whether Deuter or SPI are more suitable for school bags. My boy is in P3 & girl in P1.

Also, anyone knows where to get better deal for the sch bags now?

          TIA

My gal is in P1 this year. I have bought her a SPI small size school bag. Her teacher has given us a list of books and things to bring to school each day (which some of it i think they will kept it with them).

Today her school bag consists of the following things… Not a lot of things but to me is quite heavy already. So heartpain to see her everyday carry such a heavy bag to school cos she is a very very small build girl.

            - 1 pencil case
            - Colour Pencils
            - Jacket
            - Storybook
            - Student’s Handbook
            - 2 small exercise
            - Social Studies (Activity book)
            - Social Studies (TextBook)
            - Music Book
            - Moral Education
            - Health Education

Is there any other brand of bag is much lighter than SPI??

If you get a SPI for your son, he should be able to use the Large size until P6. My boy has used his 'Large' since P3 and hopefully can last him until P6. Daughter using 'S' for P1 this year.

DS1 is using SPI bag - I like it becos it's soft (enough padding) and is sturdy. The material feels nicer than the ones at popular. No regrets buying it though it's a few times the cost of the Popular bag.

I've seen Deuter ergo bags - also nice to hold. It's a bit different from the usual Deuter backpacks that you see pp using.

DS1 only starting P1, but based on what I see from the 2 bags, I don't think I will need to buy new bags next year.

I got SPI for my kids because a cousin told me it's reliable and lasting esp for boys.

                      Hi,

Thnks for the feedback on SPI. I saw some kids carrying them & found then q trendy & nice.

May I know what’s the diff between Lego SPI & SPI? Do I buy them from Kinderfun at UNited Sq & OG isit? Where else can I get? Takashimaya?

                      thnks

Actually Lego is just 'add on' for younger kids. My son was crazy over Bionicle in P1...outgrew it in time for Large at P3.
You can check out Kinderfun at Centrepoint as there are more designs. The best part about SPI is trade-in.
