      Jennifer:
We had a discussion early last year on the learning style test too. Some of us thought the end results of the learning style test was for class placement. Think we did not get a confirmed answer from the school on this.

It is a very simple test- what time u like to study, do u like to listen to listen when u study, etc. More like a questionaire than test.

Next week is Orientation week. We only learnt of which class our children were placed in at the end of the orientation week. No idea how the class placement was exactly done. Doubt there was a banding test last year.
Thanks so much for the info, Jennifer. Now my mind is at ease as I initially thought they had to go thru' some kind of academic test again and that will definitely be a put off as my DD is expecting the orientation to be fun like what her friends in other schools have told her. šŸ˜„

        Hello,

Thanks for the reply to the past post. You know in the morning around 6.30- is the buses from Newton Station to NJC very crowded? My daughter was wondering if it was more advisable to take the 156 just opposite our house or go to Newton and take any of the buses there that lead to NJC. Thanks a lot šŸ™‚

        Cheers,

Same lah - surely whole bkt timah road would still be crowded. At 6.30am, the bus should still be quite ok. If not, then have her take the bus at 6.25am lor. Straight bus better than changing - really.

School's starting tomorrow (YIPEE!) Heard from my senior that we're going to Botanical Gardens for some external hunt. What's this program about? šŸ˜„

Think this year, the students already know their classes from day 1

So far so good for my girl too. She's thoroughly enjoying herself and commented about how good her seniors are at mass dancing. Guess the seniors must have done a great job in engaging the juniors and my girl's looking forward to the campfire on Friday night . Yup, let's see if she still feels the same when the actual classes commence... šŸ˜„
