maybe can find out, is it the same caterer last year?

get the sch to change the caterer to some eg select catering that provide rices and noodles.

do u mean there is no rice or noodles at all for recesss???
      just biscuits?

its bad for kids to drink yeos packet drink everyday.
      so much sugar.

Maris stella does not practise different recess time for different level. As such, my guess for not allowing young ones to buy own food is - it'll be safer if the lower primary boys have their their recess in class.

Yes, you can opt out of catering and bring your own food - which is what i did for my p2.

For my P2, the extended timing on monday is because maris has just introduced \"programme for active learning\" every week - that takes up 2 hrs a wk, thus they need to make up the 2 hrs on monday.

        Hope this helps.
what do u usu let ur p2 bring to sch for recess?
will he compare wif his classmates and whine for catered food?
i cant think of what can be brought to sch except bread everyday, and usu in the morning take my girl for eg she already eats bread at 6am, and dislikes bread again at 10am recess as she isnt a bread-loving person. so i get her to buy her own food in sch during recess.

          Er....

Actually my fren's whose kid is in P1 last year already prepared me for the food and the packet drinks! But i still signed up for it cos of the convenience!!

As for packet drinks - i prob will do what my fren does - ask ds to bring it home - but starting maybe from Feb - cos ds has stated that he would like to try out the different soft drinks available *faintz* - but ok lah - Im closing one eye so far cos he seems to be enjoying school at the moment.

Btw - do you gals know if there is any \"exam/ test\" tomorrow, aka Monday? My boy kept saying teacher ask him to shift tables cos got exam/test on Monday lah!

And seriously - i have no idea what he is toking bat! :?

          Maybe he daydreaming..... :snooze:

[/quote] My guess is it is the MOE test that my son took last yr at P1 too. There's a thread discussing about this test in the forum last yr.

            So he's not daydreaming. 😄

Is the test for all p1 boys? I did not hear DS mention anything about it or any table arrangements. The form teacher actually updates the blog daily but nothing mentioned as well.

My son has cereal every morning for breakfast, so i guess he's still ok with the bread during recess.

Only once in a while, he'll request for a drink during recess aft seeing the \"catered\" boys have theirs.

Today’s menu was hot dog bun, biscuits and drink.

My son said that the drink is mineral water and the biscuit that he brought back was 1 miserable piece of sandwich biscuit!!! Is this acceptable???
