hi smurf
so far i have been giving him $2.00 which i think i will reduce to $1.50 cause I realized when they have more money, they will tend to spend unnecessary. that day bought one can of Milo for $1.10!!! :!: so expensive!
my son is still blur sotong, ask him what happened in class, he will reply with alot of unrelated things :stupid: & most of the notes that his teacher has passed to him has become crash ball in his bag!
my DH is now asking me to pack food for him instead cause he does not think the canteen food is healthy
i hope things will be better in another few weeks times
btw, any 1 Michael parents out here? just need to re-confirm information that my son has told me cause at times, really wonder whether he is relating the correct information or situation...*sign*... -
I think the canteen food OK. Eg, the chicken rice, they remove the skin. So in that sense, they are health conscious.
Consider giving your son instructions on what to buy or not buy. Eg, no drinks because he has a water bottle to drink from; no buying from the bookshop unless he asks you first.
For paper notes from the teacher, if the teacher has not asked your son to do so yet, what you can do is provide him with a clear plastic folder - tell him to slip in all papers he gets in there. -
Hi Happy to Be Mum
My boy had his first scoccer session last Friday too. Our kids are probably scoccer-mates.
My boy is in 1 Joseph. What about yours?
I saw the notice about temp reading, it seems we have to provide the thermometer.
Any other parents out here with boys in 1 Joseph ?? -
hi twogreatkids
yes, our boys are definitely soccer mates  wondering can we let them wear their own clothing for the soccer since it is conducted by external vendors, at least not white T-shirts!
my boy is in 1 Michael.
btw, anyone can advise me does school starts later on Wednesday? cause saw from the time table, lessons only start at 1.30.. -

I give him S$3 allowance every day. He spent about S$2-S$2.40 daily for 1st few days on food and drinks from vending machine. He even had ice-cream on Fri! Hmm.....did not realized that I gave him too much allowance until i read your postings! Anyway, I did tell him not to buy drinks from vending machines as they are more expensive and that he should drink H2O instead. He is a good boy and did just that after. He saves the remaining allowance in his piggy bank. Yesterday, he spent only 70cts on some jelly. -
May I know what is the timing for soccer? :?

8 to 10am. The boys are split into either the Wed or Fri session.
