      Hi,

Can someone advise me on this CLIP (Creative Thinking and Learning Through Innovation Programme)? My son in P5 got this slip to participate in this program on Fri 2-3pm. However, the slip said nothing on the content, organiser (by PH teachers or external vendors), duration (1 session or many sessions throughout the year?), is it a general 'how to be creative' kind of program or more specific/practical by subjects? etc.

      Thanks alot for advice.

      Hi Janet & Funx3,

Since both of your darlings are in P6 (am I right?), can you pls advise me on this CLIP program? Is it good and worth investing the time? What does it teach, by whom, etc. :?

Gave up asking my son for details coz he is always - I don't know :x Super bo-chap :stupid:

      Thanks alot

Sorry, I have no idea what CLIP is all about either...my son didn't show me anything from school regarding this. He's in P5 too.

        Hi Funx3,

Son mentioned supplementary lessons late last week...I thought the supplementary lessons will start in Term 2...but it's earlier. So, I'll just wait for the schedule to be sent out.

Oh yes, may I know if the kids are supposed to buy any assessment book for the supplementary lessons ?

        Thanks Funx3.

        No Need.
Any Material Needed R Normally Distributed During Class.

        Thanks Funx3 πŸ™‚

Hi San03, thanks alot for your kind reminder on the changes in the CCA timing πŸ˜„ My son wants to join Table Tennis (non-competitive) again this yr but the initial incorrect timing clashes with his supp class so he is sooo... disappointed.
          Errrr ....
Thought I Read Somewhere that Existing Member Don't Need to Register????
Or No Need for Competitive Team member Only?

          :?

May I know if P3s have supplementary classes? Thanks... πŸ™‚

Maybe the teacher will conduct remedial classes after CA1 or SA1 for those students who need help.

yup, Janet is right. supp class for every student starts only in P5, while remedial classes r held r for selected students only.[/quote]Thanks Periwinklejoy πŸ˜„

              I am a new arrival.

Does anyone have suggestions to my P5 daughter about how to make friends in her class?
She feels alone bcos she is the only one to join the new class from her P4 classmates.

                Hi JRLam,

Heard from my gal that it’s a program previously for those under TTLT (those that didn’t get in to the gifted after the 2nd round). They have to build something during the program (1/2 year) also a lot of projects to do on and off. Lastly, there’s some knowledge of science being teach during the program.

My gal is interested but thinking of the many project puts her off.

:welcome: I think kids at that age will make friends quickly. Just give them 1-2 more weeks. πŸ˜„

Is She Shy and Don't Speak up often?
May B she can start by Speaking to the Gals sitting Near to Her (Of Course Not During Lessons -la πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ )
Start with Something General Like Home work, Which Banding Class U Go, Which CCA U Join, and \"Can I Join U for Recess?\" Kind of Stuff.

Anyway, She will Still Get to see Her Old Classmates during the Maths and CL Banding Class, I'm Sure.

I Find Kids Make Friends Easily, May B this is only the 1st Week, and She's Rather intimated by Being the Only Transferee to the Class.

There Will B More Opportunities to get to know her Classmates Better when they start to do Group Projects together.
My Gal has to Go to Each Other's Home to Complete the Project ....

Or If U R Really Worried About it, Dip your Finger in to Help ....
Get an Occasion to Invite them to Your Place perhaps for Chinese New Year, Birthday, ....
Or An Outing to Snow-City, East Coast Cycling, Watch the Latest Movie, ....

These R the Many Things that My Gal Enjoys for Outing with Her Pals ....
