after reading the forum, i tend to think that teachers in popular schools sometimes dont teach, and teachers in neighbourhood schools may be more hardworking and have tests more often than in popular schools.

i m thinkg, if we can get a gd tutor, does it matter which school our kids go to if we are thinkg of just academic results? they all sit for the same psle exam. if the tutor is gd, the child works hard, does it matter to go elite schools and hence is it important to work so hard to get into popular schools?

I think this is quite true. For those children in popular schools, the teachers expected that their parent will send their child to additional tuitions etc. So naturally the teachers don't need to teach much

I would think that the chances of mixing with bad companies in non-popular schools will be higher than those popular schools. Hence one will have to take this risk of your child mixing with those that are not interested in studies and will create a big problem for the parent

              Hello All,

I want to know about the school admission.
My son is 2 and a half years old.

What is the procedure for the admission into the school?
At present he is attending childcare .

              Please advise

              Many Thanks
              Pooja

Hi, is it advisable to wait till the last day and both parents go to different schools to monitor the chance of my son getting into the school? Are the number of applicants and vacancies displayed in real time? Thanks

You do that only if you need to withdraw from one school and apply with another school.

You need the original documents to register. So, how can you have two sets of original documents? :scratchhead:

No, number of vacancies displayed on MOE website is not real. You need to check with the respective schools.

Can anyone advise how we would know when to register for P1? Will we receive letter/notification from MOE etc? Or do we just go to MOE webpage and check every now and then?

You will get P1 registration booklet around late May from either kindergarten or childcare...regarding the registration dates, all info are printed in the booklet.

                        hi, can i just check:

let’s say i register school A under P2C on the registration date, then on the results date, i am unable to get a place.

Do i go & register again at another school, say school B, on the next registration date under P2C supp or wait for MOE to advise me what school to register? How will MOE know who & who did not get a place under P2C?

Sorry am now very kan chiong due to registration in another 5 months or less only.
