Thanks Jennifer. I doubt they have it so early but I'll try tomorrow. At most she'll get a warning from teacher not to do it again since this is their first time, and I'll then have to subscribe lor... :(
petrol station has....
Last year, my boy's CL teacher did not request for CL newspapers. I wld think it is Lianhe, very much doubt the sch wld use Shinmin. Wld the Shell petrol stn has the day's newspapers at 6.30am?Jennifer:
Hi, can I check, for Pri 3, what Chinese Newspapers are they supposed to bring to school weekly for Chinese lessons? Anyone knows if it should be Shinmin or Lianhe? :? Can anybody with past experience please share? Thank you.
DD is supposed to bring tomorrow's papers to school tomorrow; which means poor Mummy got to buy it for her at 6.30 am! :!: -
E3:
Aiyah, Why ME ????
Haha...I WISH! Our dds are in the same class now.php:
hahaha....probably yr dd's chinese standard too good, so exempted from doing moxie....
Maybe they are in the process of compiling the most Killer P3 ι»ε list in the whole history in PH for Rby 9. Since already so much changes, one more is insignificant.....:D
I am beginning to sound like Funx3!!

Trapwithin:
For P2 no top 4 classes, so they are banded during CL. Maybe some classes will have moxie and some don't have.
what!!!! only top 4 classes have moxie.....i tot the same across the board...php:
Oh because if I recall correctly, you mentioned your DD was from Peace 2. Only kids from Charity to Hope 2 had Moxie...
FYI, the moxie list has been given out.
dd received it last week....is the ι«ηΊ§ζ·±εΉΏ list....i tot all classes are suppose to do the same... -

Yes, DS brought back the mo xie list today. will do 3 sentences next Wed.
Maybe his P4 CL teacher has not given it out yet? Since all P3 got it, P4 cannot be no moxie.
Although the sentences is good for their writting, it is quiet difficult to explain the meaning to my boy .

No lah, not scary...when my son was in P1, I listened to a friend's advice to build up his foundation in HCL. It does sound scary for parents whose kids just entered P1...don't wait till P2 or P3 to do so.
You all talk liddat very scary leh. DS usually spends 1 hr playing piano & 1 hr to memorize ι»ε (like what janet mentioned) then where got time to do anything else?markfch:
That's y need to utilize whatever time we have now before the Killer list comes...hehe.
My daughter is in P1 this year, but I'm using the same approach to coach her...trying to sink the idea of a time-table into her head for now.
markfch, we are not here to scare you....hahaha....
your ds will be given two option...do well in his HCL and given the privilege to do ι»ε...ι«ηΊ§ζ·±εΉΏlist no easy hor...first few sentences still ok...
or don't do well in HCL and just stick with his ting xue...
i will pass you a list of sat...you can see for yourself.... -

Just Check With My Gal Just Now ....
Can't Remember the Detail.JRLam:
Hi Janet & Funx3,
Since both of your darlings are in P6 (am I right?), can you pls advise me on this CLIP program? Is it good and worth investing the time? What does it teach, by whom, etc. :?
Gave up asking my son for details coz he is always - I don't know :x Super bo-chap :stupid:
Thanks alot
Will Ask My Gal When She's Back from School Today.
She Did Not Take Up the CLIP Program in P5 Last Year, Not Being A Big Fan of Science Projects ....
Her Comments R, \"1. Have to Do Many Science Projects, U Know ....
2. And the Teacher-in-Charge is Mr HOD Sc ....
3. He Say Once Join Cannot Quit ....\"
Considering the Above 3 Points - ALL Negative Considerations for My Gal,
So Never Join ....
And, To Tell U Truthfully ....
I Can't Re-Call Seeing the Memo on This CLIP Prog Thingy
- SO Perhaps My Gal has Dispose of It Since She Got No Interest ....
So No Need to Show Mummy -liao!
She's Real Independent in this Aspect ....
  -

Actually I also have two options. Option One is to stick my big fat head into the ground and pretend that I didn't read all these. Option Two is to cut down on ds's piano playing time which is going to be difficult cos he likes to 'chute pattern' while playing the piano and that takes a lot of time.
markfch, we are not here to scare you....hahaha....

Besides playing computer games, piano practising is the only other thing that he'll do automatically w/o prompting daily. That's why I always maintain that @ P1 we must relax cos P2 will bring its own set of problems to the table
