I went to the talk too! From what I know, I think it is the Science HOD last year will kenna. That one being introduced was not in school last year. Science exams are indeed getting more difficult.... Big big sigh. 😢

      :welcome: singlemum001!

      Another member! Great!

My hubby and I will be attending the PTM this thursday. We’ll like to hear from the Principal, her plans for the year.

P2 camp - Anyone of you volunteering your time for this?

The school diary is out? Can we ask the FT to order for the whole class? Guess we do not want our DS or DD go quene up during recess to get the diary. The diary opearting hour is indeed very short, like maybe 30-45 minutes & everyone rush like mad.

          :!: Is there a \"diary operating hour\"? :scratchhead:

If you were referring to the bookshop, as mentioned previously, the bookshop is open from 9 am to 4 pm to all students. The time it is open to parents/guardians is limited, but not to the students.

Since the diary is not something that is so essential that you need to get it now, why don't you wait till the queue dies down, and get your son to buy it himself?

Sorry should be bookshop operating hour. I believe the school diary is something like school diary cum school handbook which covers the school rules & regulations. Well if that is not the compulsory item, maybe can use those diary given by insurance companies.
Radin Mas is IT school, maybe next time all can use Iphone input the task as a form of diary.

Former Principal had mentioned that in future the school the school may consider to have wireless connection & every student can arm with a netbook or laptop in the school campus. Let’s see whether the school would have this IT infrastructure a not!

Haa!!! :!: Does that mean we need to get our kids an Iphone ????

Wireless connection - maybe that can be done during the upcoming renovations/upgradings work that they are conducting.

BTW, did Mrs Wong talk anything more about the upcoming upgrading works?

I went to Popular Book store at West Coast Plaza and Tiong Bahru Plaza personally, went online but no stocks :(
So the problem does not lie with the school/book shop more likely it has to do with the printers not printing enough to meet supply and demand. Hmmm 😐

Oh Science PSLE result not so good, like that HOD (Science) sure kanna question! :!:

Really??!!?? then cham lor.. cos in ALL slides, Science is always below national average. Mrs Wong also reckon that this is their area of concern and urged that if the parents want to help their (our) children, focus on science. That's why i wanted to ask you (all) what could we do to help our children in this area since the school is not so \"strong\" in this subject.

Yeah, you are right, frequent visits to science centre.. maybe... hope it helps.

                  Sigh...........

I think besides visiting science centre, we can encourage our kids to read wider and stoke their interest in science and technology.

There are also some science camps organised by private companies during the school holidays. Perhaps, we can enrol our kids in them.
