Ok, I know chances of anyone from this forum finding it is slim but thought i’ll still gave it a try.

DD’s Hello Kitty purse was removed from her school bag yesterday. It is pink, flat and in a heart shaped. I said it was "removed" because the purse has a hook & clasp attached to her school bag. When DD came home last evening, then she realised it was missing. Hook, clasp, string and all were gone, so it was unlikely DD accidentally drop it. It was brand new purse for her Primary1 and she was too shock with what has happened. If any parents see it, please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I think you have to inform her form teacher about this. As last year my girl class students including her also always lost things , especially during after recess time.

Thus her form teacher asked 3 of them including my girl to keep a look out before the recess is over, they found out one of their classmate sneak inside the classroom and searching another student bag. They immediately informed their form teacher and the girl was asked to see her. From then, nothing was lost again.

          Sc88,

Thank you for the advice. I have wrote a message for her form teacher in her comm book, hopefully DD remembers to show it to her.

However u are right on about what has happened! DD was very sure the purse was there when she left from student care for school and was there before recess… But from there, she can’t remember anymore.

Hb didnt want to report as stolen as he felt it is DD’s responsibility to take care of her belongings. But with what you mentioned, it almost impossible to ensure her things are safe unless she carries all her things with her when she goes for recess.

Best not to leave any valuable in the class during recess to attract attention. The access is controlled by P2 prefects so security is v weak. Altho pupils r not supposed to go back to their classes during recess, DS1's classmate managed to retrieve his forgotten library book by asking his older brother from a.m. session to help instead.

Last year there was also a case in another P1 class other than SC88's (different details) & some older boys from a.m. session were suspected but heard the cctv footage wasn't clear enough to pin them down.

Also hv to b careful during assembly & dismissal, as there r kids w \"itchy hands\" that will sabotage the bags, tags etc. 😞

              Hi,

I received a letter from school on the Annual Subscription of Etutor "Home-Based Learning" Programme 2011 for $25 and LMS (Chinese Lang) for $17. Is these 2 compulsory? Is the first one an english programme? I am confused and the letter didn’t really explain much and whether it’s compulsory. Is this what the student will use via internet during school holiday?

              Thanks.

We have to follow since the school requested. As last year my girl took back to do under her homework as requested before in primary one. ( Another subject payment also through the Edusave account, can't remembered which subject.) 😄

You're welcome. Just curious, why your DD did not bring along her purse during recess? She just took the money with her only?

If possible buy a purse which can hang around the neck just like we adults with our working pass hang around our neck that kind of purse.

                  😄

so sorry to hear that… hope your dd not too upset with it.

BTW, do you think teachers read the comm book? Apparantly i wrote something for the first 2 days but no reply from the teacher.

                      sc88,

Haizz… little girls have many strange practices. The purse is actually part of the accessory attached to her new school bag (bought by her doting auntie). DD has another ‘actual’ wallet which contains phone card, contact numbers and pocket money.

                      shlow,
U need to get your child to show the form teacher the message you have written. It is quite impossible for the teacher to check everyone’s comm book daily. DD showed her teacher the message i wrote, her teacher replied and even talked to me yesterday when i picked DD up from school yesterday. So i must say the teachers do act on the messages we parents wrote.

Thanks. Anyway, I just signed and pass to my son to submit it. I just don't want the situation whereby we subscribe for it and it is optional, ended up we have to use it as another tool for our kids since we paid for it. I have quite a number of assessment books and already no time to complete them.
