Any idea whether the term1 break will be left free. We were planning a short holiday, but DS said that his FT had told them that some of them might be called back even during the march holidays.
Any such hints from your DD/DS schools?

I believe it will depend on individual school discretion. I heard from some of the friends usually in June there will be two weeks need to go back and may be the whole week of September too. No so such about March.

Our DS' FT has informed us not to plan any stuff in the March and 1st & last week of June vacations, high chance they'll be called back for additional supp classes. The usual supp classes are starting next week liao... and with all the homework piling in since 1st day of school, really praying hard that our DS has the stamina to last till 4 Oct (last paper)...

Wow. Your DS school is very on. So far dd school work still not yet ramp up except they have test for Maths Section C (60 marks) last week. Teacher was not pleased with those score below 50 and I guess more emphasis will be on maths after CNY.

If school organise more during holiday then we can save money for those holiday workshop leh.

Good point Brenda. I think we should check with school before signing for any holiday camps.

Dd also has a math paper two test last week.

The teachers are marking on statement and presentation instead of the correct answer itself.

I am not sure as all this input are from dd.

However, there will be a parent-teacher meeting before CNY and may know more in details.

However, I hope school will focus more in maths then we can relax leh.

Well said. The teacher has to look after at about 40 students (main stream) and we parents are one to one service.
