Serangoon Gardens will also have ntuc, but i think it may be 'Finest ntuc fairprice'. or maybe the one at the mega mall, aiyah, not sure, too many things happening ard the area now.
As for me, I am looking forward to the NTUC! Goodness me, how convenient would that be for me!25hourmaid:

Hey, have you all read the papers recently abt residents in Serangoon area going to have their own library. Apparently, the mega mall being built next to Serangoon MRT will have a library there. 3 cheers :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: I hope the collection will be as good as the one in Bishan. Can't wait to bring DS there ....

Currently shop at Bishan ntuc. Sometimes at gardens. Don't like to go to the one at serangoon ave 3 cuz its small, always so crowded and the queue can make me :faint:
Have recently discovered a wholesale vege/fish mkt at Serangoon central. They are open until 1pm. V v gd selection, can buy one week worth of vege + onion + garlic + tomatoes etc for more than three pple for about $10 to $12 inclusive of these big big asparagus

Hi,Hi,
I am a SAHM, residing at Sengkang.
I am trying to find a special small school with patient caring teachers for my speech delayed 3 year old DD. Unable to send her to any pre nursery around the area as she cannot verbalise her needs. She love to play with other children but always get rejected as she has yet to be able to express herself (she put on a smile and just pull the hands of other children to invite them to play)
Appreciate any advice. Thank you.
Actually, I have a place to recommend but your girl will need to take school bus (or you have to send/fetch).
My boy's preschool has small teacher-student ratio and their English teacher has a double Masters specialising in Educaiton & English.
I've seen how she works with the kids and she manages to get the slow developers to really speak up and talk.
If your child requires extra individual lessons outside curriculum time, the school can arrange (but at a fee of course).
Honestly, my boy has 10 classmates (he is in N2 this year). Out of 10 of them, only 3 could speak well last year (proper sentences with clear pronunciation). By this year, all of them could speak very well.
My boy also learnt very fast under the teachers there. Imagine a 3yo boy spelling numbers one to ten to you effortlessly when you did not teach him at all! I was caught by surprise!
