Even though son is in morning session, he doesn't have more time either. Supplementary lessons 2x a week, time even tigher from next week. By the time he reaches home, it's about 345pm. After shower & light snack, take a nap...wake up at 6pm, how much time left ? If lots of hw, even worsephp:
we have no choice...as most enrichment centres do not conduct morning classes during weekdays....since our ds/dd are in the pm session, sat n sun are the only days left for enrichment lessons.....
I am in a dilemma here over my boy's tuition classes.
I already find not enough time to do revision as he is really taking his own sweet time in finishing sch homework. Argh :x

I was in a similar situation last year, was v frusto as I had no time to do revision with her. Hence, I cut down her tuition and she was left with Math tuition only. It was less trying when it came to having her sit down and patiently revise work together with me. So I started to realise that her indifference to doing work with me or work assigned by me, was due to tiredness and boredom. Hence, I think cutting down on tuition worked for my dd. She didn't do spectacularly well, but in my view was ok and most imptly, it was at a comfortable pace. She was happier too.
But this year, I think I will hv to add Chin tuition as I foresee that I wld be quite busy with my younger dd in P2 dis year. -
E3:
My 4yo likes to take her own sweet time to do her work too. I used to fret a lot when she did that. I realized if I walked away and instructed her that she had to complete her work before I returned, if not, she'll have to do more, it worked sometimes, unless she was having difficulty.[/quote]I don't mean to compare your 10yo with my 4yo. What I meant to say is if I am not so involved and she is working at her pace but with a goal in mind, things get done faster...Jennifer:

With son having 2x supplementary lessons next week, I will have more time with daughter…can’t afford to ignore son when he’s at home since he’s more important at P5 but daughter also needs attention since she just started P1. Really torn between both of them.
Saturday is fully packed now, although with pockets of time in bet…morning CL tuition, daughter has RC enrichment in afternoon and son has EL enrichment in evening. Sundays are for finishing up tuition hw and learning 听写/默写 as well as spelling. That’s it, weekends gone. -

One of my friend suggested havin 'student exchange' i.e. she sends her dd over my place and i send mine to her place for coaching as usually they are more attentive and obliging to others den to their own parents :idea:With son having 2x supplementary lessons next week, I will have more time with daughter...can't afford to ignore son when he's at home since he's more important at P5 but daughter also needs attention since she just started P1.
