We failed many times using the traditional method. I even bought a digital food thermometer for that! At least now it's very easy. Pop milk into container, stir in culture, cover, turn on switch & viola!
This mummy is pretty lazy šŸ˜› If there's a shorter way to do it without compromising on quality, I will take the shorter way šŸ˜›
(Don't think that I spend alot of time in the kitchen cos alot of my boy's food is home made - We must all learn to work smartly & efficiently to maximise time!)
      mrswongtuition,

Can I check whether the brand name of your yogurt maker is Smart Bean??

Saw this at Tangs for $55. Basically, you just put some yogurt culture into a 1L pkt of milk and slot it into the container for some time in order for it to set into yogurt.

Another one I saw was called Severin, a German made brand, abt $78. Any comments on that??

        Hi all,

You can try using thermo pot to do yogurt. I tried once and successful.

Vitakids has one, $40 plus if i am not wrong.

I've been eye-ing the yogurt maker for a while now. Just didn't have the opportunity to go and recee until today. I killed 3 birds with one stone today (need to replenish my cooking pots too and found out Tefal having 20% dicount)

Besides being healthy, its a cheaper alternative as well for DS šŸ˜„

Commercial yogurt is sweet and if organic, even more exp :!:

I saw the brand Smart Bean (made in Taiwan) at Tangs as mentioned in the 2nd post by Mathsparks. It makes red, green, almond etc ... milk besides soya and is about $248 if I am not wrong.

Oh, I think I saw it at Tangs earlier... remember seeing something like Nutmilk Maker, but I didn't know that was for Soya Bean... Thanks autumnbronze, I will have to think about this, cos just bought the breadmaker so don't want to invest in another machine too soon since this one also not cheap... šŸ‘…

Sorry I am suaku, but is the yogurt made from the machine sweet/sour?

I used to make yogurt the manual way, boil, cool down etc , and its sour so no one wants to take it šŸ˜›
