        CHC123:

any feedback from other schools wrt MOE push for more PE ? checked the MOE website for info ?
I think it was mentioned by the Principal during meet the parents session that MOE has increased the number of periods for PE from 4 to 5.

But I don't think this will cause the PE lessons to be spread out from 2 days to 5 days for some....

The Principal, if I am not mistaken, used to teach chinese...

          Hi

My girl Pri 1 is curious gege or jie jie wearing the sashes in school.. What i know the blue color is prefect.. She asked me whether class rep wear sashes? Or anything special tags will be giving for those that are class rep..

Well I told her I'am not very about this.. But will find out for her.. if you know any information regarding my girl question.. Pls let me know.. Thanks
          Blue is for prefects.

Class monitors wear badges above their name tags.

Discipline and environment monitors have purple and green sashes.

Other student roles like group leader or class english monitors don't have sashes or badgets... as far as I know...

Class monitors have a pin that says 班长. Prefects have blue sashes, Discipline monitors have purple sashes, and Environmental monitors have green sashes. There are typically other leadership roles such as subject leaders, group leaders, class rep for library duties, etc., but no tags or badges, etc. Most roles, except for Prefects, are typically rotated half yearly. I think should still be the same, cos my dd told me form teacher has just assigned them roles…

I received my son’s time table today. Confirmed 4days PE. I checked with other school, they are shocked that NYPS is having 4 to 5 days PE per week and what had happened to the school. Which means the pupils in the school no need to wear school iniform and just PE attire will do.

Did anyone subscribe to the Math +Venture last year? Is it good? Looking at the sample issue (or is it the first issue?), it actually doesn’t look too interesting to me.

Not sure if it is true, but one of the 4 periods of PE would be health education class. Supposedly no need to wear PE attire for that lesson. Maybe could get your son to check with his teacher? For us, we have been on PE attire the whole of this week... while the top is collecting dust.
