Correct, yeast cannot touch water, this is another point of failure most people commit to get a not-so-good outcome. -

The shaking just now was probably the kneading process, while the 'quiet' time' now is probably the proofing stage. Do not attempt to open the cover now!
Friend, the viewing window for this model is small compared to Bluesky....so I think I will try not to peep so much...straining to the eyes. Alternatively, I will take a picture then see it in close zoom. :lol: -

First time heard of the yeast being in the centre. Just curious, what's after the yeast? Usually the yeast is the last item on top for most machines. -
