I think this is a good idea! Kids in SCGS do that too
One of my friend suggested havin 'student exchange' i.e. she sends her dd over my place and i send mine to her place for coaching as usually they are more attentive and obliging to others den to their own parents :idea:janet_lee88:
With son having 2x supplementary lessons next week, I will have more time with daughter...can't afford to ignore son when he's at home since he's more important at P5 but daughter also needs attention since she just started P1. Really torn between both of them.
Saturday is fully packed now, although with pockets of time in bet...morning CL tuition, daughter has RC enrichment in afternoon and son has EL enrichment in evening. Sundays are for finishing up tuition hw and learning 听写/默写 as well as spelling. That's it, weekends gone.
Hmmm, maybe I should organise one

Doubt this will work for my kids...hubby may not agree either. We do 'parent exchange' though...when it's time to do Maths, he will take over. So I planned their time-table in a way that won't clash.

For my ds, sun is sabbath, so no work at all. By e time he gets home, have dinner, shower, its almost 8pm, no absorption ability too!!
Plus he goes student care in the morning, so that leaves only sat to revise all e subjects!!

Exactly. End up I am burnt out thru and thru.
Last year, I arranged for both boys' tuitions for this year on Sunday, almost same timing. Elder boy to attend CL, #2 to attend Science. Same bldg, only 1 trip for all of us on Sunday.
Then elder boy's CL tuition centre told me they cant open the Sunday class, becos the other 4 interested students decided not to join. Asked me to go to their Thomson HQ. I had to change #2's Science to Sat. Both my Sat n Sun now tuition days. To go to Thomson HQ, I had to bring along #2. When we were outside, it's hard to do revision with him as the surrounding has too much distractions.
I hv decided to discontinue my elder boy's CL at Thomson. No refund but can deduct against my #2's CL tuition with them.
If #2's Sci teacher is good, we will be discontinuing this too. Thank God, his Sci teacher is not the Sci HOD.
Now looking for alternative CL tuition centre for elder boy. Anyone has experience or know someone who has engaged Jing Cai Education Centre at Beauty World? I called the centre and was told they operate small class size and have a few students also on IP. The teacher's daughter was also from PH, same year as my elder boy, in Faith6, C1. -

I don't mean to compare your 10yo with my 4yo. What I meant to say is if I am not so involved and she is working at her pace but with a goal in mind, things get done faster...
He cant be trusted
Last week was not too bad becos there were not too many homework brou home. But this week :x My original plan was to start on sch work at 3pm, stop at 4pm to take a break, then to continue at 8pm and stop at 9pm. In between, he is free to do whatever he wants. I only ask for 2 hours of work daily. He still takes advantage of my busy schedule of hsework and initiates his own breaks during this 2 hrs :stupid: So far, we have not started on any revision.
Next week has CL moxie. We just finished learning 2 sentences while taking a 40 mins stroll after dinner. This 40 mins stroll is part of the 2 hours of work. Really trying hard to be creative at managing our time. -
Hi.
Can someone explain to me - how to view replies that you post on non-PHPPS threads? For eg, after we post replies on PHPPS thread, even if we are out of the PHPPS parent network group, we can always go back again by chosing the group.
However, if we reply to posts or post questions from/on NON-PHPPS threads, once we get out, HOW do we go back to check replies?
Thanks. -

that's all.
That's all? I thought the schedule is quite packed :!: I cant imagine my #2 quai quai following this.
He was learning the piano in P1. We stopped in mid P2 as he became familiar with the teacher and started climbing all over her. Never got to engage another teacher in P3. Was hoping can start learning again this year.
He spends his free time watching sports channels (any adult can chit chat with him on soccer/golf/F1 racing) or NatGeo Wild or History Channels, playing with his lego toys or reading his storybooks. Dun think we will give any of these up for the pursuit of academic excellence. That's why I am :x for his slowness in doing his sch work. -
Hi All
Can somebody throw me sample titles for Creative Writing (both English & Chinese) that are given to P2 kids? Or better still, the topic for P2 Paper 1 if you still can remember…TIA… -
