The principal has declared 21 Jan as a school holiday to celebrate the good achievements of the school's 2010 GCE O level. He did not declared school holiday for 2010 PSLE results. Does it mean PSLE results was not as impressive? Hmm.... :? just a thought.....

My son also complained of stomache. We suspected the food. Hence, we decided to cancel our order. Anyway, my DS doesn't like the food either. He can be a fussy eater. So we decided to pack simple food (like bun) for him. It is better than him not eating anything at all. So, YES, we don't have to bother with what kind of sub-standard food they are going to provide anymore. Seriously, I think food catering is a serious business and the school should have exercised more dilligence in selecting the caterer.
This really makes us parents worried and crossed. :x
Sounds like the catered food is contaminated or something. It would be important to reflect to the school authorities for a thorough investigation. Your DS(es) deserves much better and healthier food from the appointed caterer.
This whole saga is almost like a breach of contract. The proposed menu reflected the food to be served yet the presented menu/food differs from the contract. The principal or vice principal should be sought for your concerns and feedback. :?: -

Anyone going for the Parents Meeting on 18 Jan? Are you bringing your DS? I'm wondering why don't they schedule it on Friday instead. :?
Thanks for e info re caterer. I'll call first thing tmrw. Poor DS will hv a heavier bag to lug to sch but at least i know he'll be eating proper food
I'm be attending the mtg- which class is yr boy from? Not bringing my boy cos I doubt he can keep quiet &/ or still thru'out the mtg! -
the catered food and bullying is a concerned to me. wonder if i shd still put my boy in MS. if i do reg him, i will walk him home though. no sch bus. n tabao food for him. i hope no boys will snatch the food if they dont like the catered one.
shd tell the principal at the parent-teacher meeting in public. i m sure other parents will join in to voice their concerns abt the food. -
Does anyone know if the kids need to wear the PE shorts and house T-Shirts on the day where they have their PAL lesson??

I support this idea. The P & VPs are nice & dynamic people. If they are aware of the situation, they would take action.the catered food and bullying is a concerned to me. wonder if i shd still put my boy in MS. if i do reg him, i will walk him home though. no sch bus. n tabao food for him. i hope no boys will snatch the food if they dont like the catered one.

The VP already replied that she will be having a meeting with the caterer. I'll let her know that if things don't improve, parents may consider canceling the order. Can I ask how was the food for yesterday and today? My son came back before recess yesterday and mc today. so I do not know how's the quality. Please let me know so that I can feedback to the VP again.bigfoot:

Can we cancel our order at this stage? If so I would like to cos the food is so sad! My son has been bringing home the jelly/solitary biscuit/cream puff. By the time he arrives home it's all squashed by his books.
I was thinking of giving him money to get fruits from the canteen then realised he's not even allowed there. !! -
ya, since its voicing it to the P at a public meeting, dont think they will know who is ur child and shd be quite safe. bssides, u will get the support from other parents at the same time too.
last year is it also same caterer with food thats different from the food?
i wonder how the caterer got re-selected this year (and next year, next next year, if nothing is done. the kids got to eat catered food for at least 3 years right? p1-p3? -

oh! when was this information released?? -
there is 340 p1 kids right? assuming most of the opt for catering, since cant go canteen, plus p2 and p3 kids, its roughly around 1000 kids, and for 3 years, so how can the caterer be so lousy??
i think the parents shd just voice out at the Parent teacher meeting to consider practising different recess times for different levels. i believe other boys (full) schoolls also solved their problems by allocating diff recess times: does cath hi or SJI or ACS cater food for the kids??
st nicks doesnt
actually i prefer catered food cos safer for the p1s cos risk of falling n being bumped by others. just that the food standard so xxxxx
