            Hi,

I need help with these 2 questions.

She walked further _________ to get a closer look.

            (1) under\t(2) over (3) down (4) above\t

This question is from Compehension (MCQ)

“I’ve been a newsvendor for forty years,” Aiming said. “I began when I was ten years old and I have never had a real holiday in all these years. Even during the Chinese New Year, I have to deliver English, Malay and Tamil newspapers. Life for me is really tough.”

What does the sentence “Life for me is really tough” mean?

(1)\tAiming has to work very hard everyday.
(2)\tAiming finds it difficult to live his life.
(3)\tAiming does not go for holidays.
            (4)\tAiming’s life is terrible.\t\t\t\t\t\t
Is the answer (1) or (3)

            Thank you very much.

              1) She walked further down to get a closer look.

              2) I would choose option (1) as the answer. The question is asking for the gist of the statement “Life for me is really tough”, which translates to option (1).

Actually, the answer booklet states "had stayed". But why? I find it hard to explain the difference between had ____and has _____.

Can an expert here help out?

                        It should be \"has stayed\".
