Hi Jon00,
My bb is in 1A3 too. I only come accross this website recently, didn’t even know that they took a test on that day. So what does 1A3 means?? -
:welcome: leeserene
During the orientation, the parents and kiddoes were separated so I am not too sure if any test were condcuted? My dd told me that they were given a passage to read and a Mdm Wong asked them questions relating to the passage. 1A3 is just the class posting so I do not know what it really mean as well :? however, from the earlier postings in this thread, it sounds like class ending with \"3\" is good
Whatever it means, the important thing is our kids enjoy the learning process in their next milestone!leeserene:

How's the first week of sch? Anyone wanna share?
My dd enjoyed her sch, especially the fact that she can handle her own purchase during recess time :). She also made friends . One of her kindi friend is the same class as her. Not much homework over the weekend except to decorate her journal book, and a simple page in chinese moral and social bk. -
Saw from my DD purple file…Common Test from 8th to 11th Feb 2011 even for P1 kids. I remember last yr my DD was spared for the CT1 and only AA in May if I’m not wrong…

I noticed that too but thought it was normal. Perhaps change of principal?
Yqyq, how does SQ grade the P1 at the end of the academic year?yqyq:

last year had several tests, Alt Assessment 1, Mid year test, Common test 2, Alt Assessment 2 & Year end test (If I'm not wrong).
Year end result will determine the P2 class and as well as Edusave / School prize award.jon00:

Yqyq,
Interesting to know that the P1 results will determine the class for P2. Do you know how the grouping is done? I mean is it base on final results or does the sch look at their capability on individual subjects and group them accordingly?yqyq:

So far for lower primary, they based on final results...maybe some different criteria for upper primary.
