Hi genesis,
Like you, I’m totally new to TNS too.
I am also wondering how do we keep contact with the teachers? I’ve have not received any contact list for the class too.
Do we get our child to drop the forms into the boxes at the office since parents are not allowed in school?
As for Wushu, I suppose our child can start Wushu as their CCA from P1 thru their school years.
So far, my child only wrote in the Handbk the things to bring and/or reminder to sign some spelling list/form. -
Oops… is there an online magazine that we MUST subscribe? I didn’t see this one?

Hi
We can find the teachers’ email address from Tao Nan School website, either by name or by class. We used to communicate with our DS Pr1 form teacher last year via email.
The contact list was circulated by the class parent support group representative with data provided by the form teacher. When the form teacher requires parent assistance in class outing or school events, this class parent support rep will be asked to source for volunteer. So, if you are keen to help on such event, be friendly with the class rep, better still, volunteer to be the rep.
好朋友is used in class as supplementary to the textbook. The additional online access is new this year and I believe is optional. We signed up with additional online access since it is only $3 more, but has yet to receive the user id and password. -
Hi tao nan newbies,
Hope can answer your questions to the best of my knowledge...cos my boy's only in P2, so I only have 1 year \"experience\"
1. I usually communicate with the teachers via email. My boy's P1 form teacher is quite responsive on email.
2. The teacher will write on the whiteboard the things that the child is suppossed to bring, homeowrk, etc, and the child needs to copy into the student handbook.
3. Wushu CCA only starts in P3. Ok, this one I'm not very sure, but I think the CCA is like the school team. Wushu enrichment is available from P1 and it's from the enrichment class that they select the members for the school team. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong?
4. The leaflet on the chinese characters book is optional. And so are many leaflets that your child may bring back to buy this book or that book
5. If you want to sign up your child for any of the enrichment classes, you must fill in the form and ask your child to submit at the general office.
Hope this clears any doubts that you have! -
Hi! My child was sick last friday and did not receive her LC list on that day. She had asked for the LC list from her English Teacher but the teacher did not pass the list to her. Guess the teacher must be very busy that she'd forgotten.
I have tried to send email and leave a message to the English teacher but no response. Could any kind P2 parent send me the LC list? My kid was quite stressed up over this as she'd LC next Tues
Thanks! -
