I called the CC a few times to check the status. Not sure if I should call the CC again in case I am rejected just like you

Can anyone share their experience on the time needed to convert from observer to EM in CCMC and what are the activities/tasks that you have taken up. Thanks.

^ CCMC? As in Comunity Club Management Committee?

It is more by invitation and it is usually for EM who has a wealth of experience to share.

Daddy2007, you pm your particulars (name/GRC/RC you want to join) to me and I'll see if I can help you to expedite it. No guarantee though as each RC has it's own constraints and considerations. Cheers!

I only filled in one form at the beginning in 2009 wehen i frist joined as observer, Then there was a letter asking me to join the RC meeting. Henceforth it was reminders for meetings and various letter informing me of RC and CC activities.

Hi, I just got my letter of confirmation as EC as of Dec2010. My child due for registraion this june. However, there was some delay in submitting my names by the cc. I joined as observer in March 09... anyway to appeal? via chair man or directly with PA? would appreciate sm advice.

I recently joined as a volunteer here at our community since I now have lots of time because my son just started K2.


I didn't know that this will have a great impact on choosing my son's Primary School.

I haven't started any volunteer work yet, but registration for 2012 Primary is just around the corner. This is all too stressful.

Which community organisation did you volunteer with? Not all will grant you the community leaders status and hence P1 Phase 2B priority. Also, if you join only now, say in RC, it's still too late to qualify for P2B for P1 registration for 2012.

I am aiming a school for my kid in another GRC.
Will i enjoy the phase 2b if i were to shift address near the school outside the GRC that i am currently serving?

The below is the key noted from SCM

I'm afraid not, unless you shift early enough and are able to serve a full year as EM in the GRC the school is located in. Apparently, once you shift, your service in your previous GRC cannot be carried over, and you literally start from scratch. But best to confirm this with PA.
