Anyone waking up to the aroma of freshly baked bread? Share photos please!

I spent last night reading through this thread. Getting closer and closer to buying a bread machine.

Even if it becomes a white elephant, it will be a CUTE white elephant

:rotflmao:

So it's the cute vertical baby one that everyone's talking about? Too lazy to read through 88 pages to see which model everyone's buying. :)[/quote]Z brand only has one model sold in Singapore, you cannot go very wrong as long as you ask for Z brand.

Can we use the prepacked bread mixes in the bread machines?

Never tried before, so cannot comment. Have been following the recipes provided in the recipes book that came with the machine or have been getting recipes from library books, so never tried those prepacked bread mix before.

My take is better not because the sequence of ingredients is important.
However, if you want to do it as an experiment, i.e. don't mind if it fails, then please try and let us know....

Ok thanks, but just that there are so many types of knife of different sizes etc, so which is for bread? Long, short, pointed edge, square edge etc? :? :? So confusing...

Think I will leave that question to our bread expert and Shi Fu, ksi!

Actually I am no expert, but I share my experience.
I am not using the serrated bread knife that is typically recommended. I use this utility knife from Henckels as I have one set of various sizes:

The recommended bread knife from Henckels is this:

After reading so much about everyone's raisin bread earlier, I became tempted to bake one myself too. Just nice for breakie tomorrow. Instead of only raisins, I used cranberries and mixed raisins (i happened to have this mix, which I bought from Pat's Oven - selling nuts and dried fruits).

Here's some pics of my newly baked Cranberry and Raisin Bread...

The cranberries and raisins made the bread naturally sweet. Yummm...

Nice bake Schweppes! You also went for darker crust like me...and you have more ingredients too, nice! cranberrries...
