      Namie:
My son still on MC today. Also had a talk with his teacher when she called me this afternoon. Told her about the punching and kicking incidents. She said she'll ask the boys next week.

Hi Namie - i have been asking my boy daily about class situation and he keep saying very good, no fights, no one disturb him etc. Maybe should ask teacher to change the 'group' your ds is in or change seats - could be within his group/ near his seat - the boys are abit more mischievious!

So far so good for me and my boy!! Hopefully it continues to be so! :celebrate:

so for monday lunch the child is allowed to go canteen to buy?

but since they hv not been trained to do so, and only p1, (not like some sch they hv buddies to train them how to buy food for 2 wks), i wonder if they know how to handle the money, food carrying etc on their own for lunch.

another option is go for catered but let him bring own food also - banana, (not sure grapes or other fruit will turn bad or not. ) banana safest but put in a box so wont be crushed., some bread.

if totally dont want catered i supp the only option is bread and macaroni soup or noodle soup. those soup dishes. or dry type eg pasta, spaghetti, no need to fry type.

I have given up monitoring the food… think we either just have to accept or cancel.

Those going for the the Parent-Teacher meeting, please raise this issue up…

since a few parents complained their kids tummyache, cant be due to the punching case. shd be the food. the catererer probably prepared the food very very early

Hi all, i am new to this forum... and am interested to share my displeasure on the caterer too. My son also experience stomach ache last week.

I have been reading the complains on the food the caterer provide. The caterer should not provide packet drinks and tibits in their meal. I believe all parents will discourage their children to buy tibits during their recess. Why can't they provide the main course and a packet if milk or Milo instead. Why are we paying for the packet of plain water when they too have brought their water to school. Hope the principal will feed back to us.

The principal addressed the parents’ concerns on catered food during the Parents’ Meeting on 18 Jan. They had spoken to the caterer with regards to the quality of food catered.

There was no Q&A. If not I would like to ask the following question.

                    1. Was Nonya Manis awarded the catering last year? If yes, was the quality of food the same? Did the parents of last year’s P1 give any feedback regarding the food? Or was it just us, the parents of this year’s P1, who are more demanding?

                    2. If there was already negative feedback for Nonya Manis, why are we awarding the catering contract to them again?

Anyway, now that my DS is bringing home food, he is eating more and there is no more complaint of stomache. Hope the food is now ok for those parents whose DS are still on the catering scheme.

My son is now in P5. Nonya Manis has been the caterer since he entered the school. Though son complained about food, I never really bothered to investigate but I am aware that he skipped eating altogether sometimes.
