SMS will officially issue SMO 2009 Solution Book on 5th Sept 2009, once I get the solution book, I can go through all questions, and try to solve these questions myself, it is really interesting.

          MATHS HUB\t10169\tSURYA MATHIALAGAN\tP6

An india girl (P6, RGPS GEP) shows her strong math knowledge and great passion, she entered Special Round in SMO 2009 (Junior Section).

She also won SMOPS 2009 6th and APMOPS 2009 7th. (one of two girls in top 20 winners of APMOPS 2009).

My daughter won SMOPS 2009 Platinum award, they come from same school-RGPS and trained Math Olympiad at same traning centre.

          Congratulations! Surya

            Well done Surya!!!

Your family, friends and your school, RGPS will definately be proud of your remarkable achievements. From what I know, it has been a long time since a RGPS girl has consistently produced top level results in national mathematics competitions.

            Keep up the excellent work

Wah that costs a bomb! But not all attended Mathhub get platinum leh ..[/quote]Can't call it a BOMB ..... SMOPS Training is abt $45 per 2 hr lesson ...I think!! ... What is good abt Maths Hub is that they provide an opportunity for kids especially those from non-GEP schools to be able to handle competition maths questions. In addition, they also provide training to schools in the western zone. Mr Michael Lim, the main trainer from Maths Hub once told me that it gives him pleasure to prepare kids , especially those from neighbourhood and non-GEP schools and see them do well in competitions.... the GEP ones are already quite good before they come to him. Quite a number of them had succeeded in SMOPS ...winning medals(Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze)....some even got high placings in SMOPS. However, they are only able to provide the necessay knowledge and skills ...it is finally up to the child's ability, enthusiasm and dedication... to achieve success. It is the same case even in top schools.

Is there any criteria that Maths Hub has before they take in students for the Math Olympiad training class?

Are different centres more interesting in their way of teaching, more effective, etc, etc.

Hi, wonder when would it be neccessary to join the training? Is the same training preparing for all kinds of Maths Olympiad hosted by different schools?
