      Hi JRLam,

My son’s experience of looking after 3 caterpillars also ended with all 3 dead…due to his over-enthusiasm of giving water - because his teacher said they need fresh leaves and water everyday.
I can’t imagine IF I ever rear a puppy…it will suffer at the hands of my kids.

Lizhi, so how many maids of different horoscopes have you chosen before realising Virgo is best for you?

I discuss with my colleague for the maid's behaviour sometimes...and my first maid is Aquarius, only working 4days. 2nd, Virgo, very good, my many friends also praised her. 3rd, Taurus, even she was work hard, but not perfect. the fourth, Sagittarius, working 1week, and the currently, return to the Virgo, very good. 😛

Hehehe, so cute! What about the Chinese Zodiac animal? I had planned to choose based on that but I guess not accurate since most of them lie about their age. 😉 😉

                  Our Caterpillar experience (2008)

                  http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5163/5368660214_58bce68000.jpg\">

This is a Leopard Lacewing Butterfly.
Beautiful pics, IJJ. You can be friends with my DH, who is a camera enthu. Expensive hobby. For me, just give me a Canon Ixus and I am happy already.

In order to see the life-cyle of the butterfly, one has to be very conscientious and alert to note down the processes. I had a couple of missed opportunities to see the caterpillars metamorphise into butterflies. Somehow, every time I turned my head to look, I would see the adult butterfly fully emerged and staring back at me haughtily. :stupid:

We don't have such a beauty like yours, but the normal Swallowtails found in my in-laws' garden. I fed them with papaya.

We ever reared bullfrog tadpoles that turned into frogs too. The girls get excited seeing the formation of the forelegs and then the hindlegs. Now, we have progressed to having THREE guinea pigs.

When my brother & I were younger, we had a dog…so we had the experience of rearing one. The other day, my daughter said her classmate had hamsters or some pet (can’t remember)…how cute etc etc. I told her my hands are FULL and have no time for any animal, be it fish or hamster/rabbit. NO WAY !!!

Now that you mentioned your poor puppy having to hide when kids return from school, I think this will also happen if I am ever NUTS enough to get one.
