Yes, my DD in 1B. their chinese spelling is on 27th Jan. I saw my gal written it on top of the spelling list. Yes, agree that their dairy book is always blank. Both and my husband was like everyday looking forward to see something. My DD is careless, she forgotten to bring the dairy book today too. Told her to tell teacher truthfully, wonder whether she will confront herself.

my DS is in 1L has no chinese spelling list as of yesterday. As for the tests, he said dont have.....
He also said Teacher did not read new book yet......
But he does has some entries in the diary almost everyday....

My DS is in 1G, FT told us that they had their MOE assessment last week. According to my boy, he said teacher just asked some questions and then they answer :? Anywayz, I think no need to worry too much abt it.


They are having their spelling today and ting xie next week. Diary is blank almost every day too.

He seems to enjoy his lessons though, will tell me that he enjoys school everyday, especially recess

It's a test set by MOE but conducted at school by form teachers.

There is no pre-test notification.

Class iI started reading the big book Wishy washy today

My child brought back her Jotter book for Chinese spelling but it's emoty. Is the Chinese spelling list given as a printed document or the child has to copy the words. Can you share how many words are there?

1F does not have Chinese spellng list or notification to date. My boy was given the English spelling list.

1F also started Mrs Wishy Washy yesterday.

I didn't receive any CHinese Spelling list too.

Wow I don't know what is going on as my girl doesn't tell me in details what they do. Looks like I have to probe further...

But saw the 1st steller worksheets, quite interesting...

My DD has a entry in her diary stating that she is suppose to submit the CR小书 on 24/1/2011.

She has a hand-made little book that looks like a story book, is this the one? What is she suppose to do?

yes it should be that little handmade booklet.

Seems like most of our children are still not accustomed to telling us the happenings in class yet… my girl is also blur blur so I really hope parents of P1 can share as much as possible so that we can better prepare our children for this initial stage.


Also hope to have some other parents from P2/3/4 etc to share…

My girl is in 1E. She told me the 2nd story is mr wishy washy. She can tell me the whole story. The word she used like ’ jumped, paddled rolled… ’ all tally with the spelling list.


The story she told me is "something"like that, not the exact word

"The cow jumped into the mud. What a lovely mud said the cow. The pig rolled into the mud. What a lovely mud said the pig. The duck paddled into the mud what a lovely mud said the duck. Mr wishy washy came out of the house and screamed…put them in the tub… … Clean them. Mr wishy washy went back the house… Oh… The cow jumped, the pig rolled, duck paddle into the mud"
