Cold Storage sells nice ones, not over-ripe ones. Guess not good for display if they show black spotted ones. What I used to do was buy a big bunch for consumption. Then those which we don't finish in time and get over-ripe we make cake.

Ya, those POLKA-DOTTED PIGMENTED ones cannot be found at NTUC or Cold Storage, they can only be found at the market.

Yes, agree with ksi and jtoh that should not use the DelMonte range. As jtoh mentioned, it's the smaller variety - the ones that is used for goreng pisang.

Anyway, was at Cold Storage and all the bananas look under-ripe or in a just ripe state. Cd not find any black spotted pigmented bananas. So in the end, bought a just ripe variety and waiting for it to over-ripen
I think those found at Cold Storage are also not the best for banana cakes. You need to find those with skin looking less yellow, less shiny and with more spots. Usually found in fruit stalls in matured housing estates IMHO πŸ˜‰

Why, you want to be the first to test out an 'occupied' banana loaf, is it? :dowan:

Just read my Z manual. It says yeast should be kept in the freezer or fridge. I will test out my yeast again and let you know the outcome. πŸ˜„ Wish me luck!
