Hi, my DD1 is at the Tampines branch now. She was from Toddler to Playgroup and now Nursery. She is shy type too but she is much better now compare to last time. At least now she is able to mingle and play with my frens' kids too. She used to stick to me wherever I go.

2yo should be at Playgroup. At playgroup, they learn things too. Not in acedamic though. They have paintings, singing and role playing. Basic counting. To be more independent. She is able to wear her own uniform and potty trained. 😄

        Hope it helps here.

              Hi

Can anyone share how well your child perform in MFS regardless of any locations? i read thru threads here, majority says happy and enjoyed school but are they learning?

Maybe we judge, when test kid who's in Nursery, he able to do +
Recongise words like car, ball, the, draw, colour etc
Able to count 1 to 100. Able to Rhymes nursery rhymes.
Able to reconise approx 20 of the basic chines 笔画 (eg 横(一)、竖(丨)、撇(丿)、点(丶)、捺(㇏)、折(乛)

I have read some thread thatMFS curriculums are not so good eg. Nursery they only learn 1 to 20. K1 then start maths, K2 no spelling etc.

Can some one tell me what your kid learnt or how good he she performed with the condition that both parents are working, hardly any time to give coaching.
Just signed up my DD in MFS. Can;t seem to find the threads u mentioned about MFS cirriculum. I am also interested to know if they can read and write and spell and math by K2 if just purely attend MFS and nothing else.

yah…tat’s my concern too…my MIL ask me to enrol my DS to MFS just becos its walking distance from my place but i wanna chk how’s the enviroment n what they are being taught in school.

i walked pass before and notice nothing is being taught…young children were just playing with one another n playing catching…dunno did i catch them at break time or wat?

mainly, i am concerned for my 2yr DS as he is still not keen in talking yet. the only word and favourite word is "ball"…others he will just responds as "orr…orr…oor"
is this normal? getting abit stressed up as i see kids younger than him talking non-stop…

i knw i should get him involved in playgroup soon to interact so as to build up social skills…but kids at his age (when i noticed) like to play with himself, not keen in sharing… wonder if this is normal?

some feedback will be very much appreciated. thks!

Not to worry. My DS2 only started talking after he is more than 2.5 years old. Now he is talking non-stop (3 years old). Yes, kids at that age tends to play by themselves. That being said, it is always a good idea to place them in playgroup so that you will not have problem placing them in childcare in future.

HI, understand that MFS is opening a 2nd brand at Yew Tee Blk 603 there. Anyone sends their kids there?

I went down last yr cos I thot I will send my son to cc but not sure if anything have changed. But one thing is the principal is always not around & running personal errands. And their licence was on 6mths before the recent 24mths licence, asked the principal, she told me it was due to some admin stuffs…?

Do you all think this branch prepare the kids well for Pri 1? Any enrichment that they have for the kids? How is the teachers there?
