To all who own a mini Zo, do u think it is a good size for a 5 people family? Hub wasn’t keen to bring my kaputed Morphy Richards for servicing since there is no gurantee that it can be fixed. (waste time, waste effort) To him, might as well just get a new one. But i was reading the reviews at Amazon and they are mentioning it is good for couples or people living alone… I was like, then not suitable for me??? I want fresh bread everyday, no excess to ponder over. But not sure if 1lb loaf is little too little for us.

Being Asians, do u think the loaf is enough for my family of 2 adults and 3 kids for breakfast alone?

Using the mini Z now. So far it seems adequate for 4 of us.

I think it also depends on how much bread your family eats per person. What abt the Severin? Pricing is good and the bread tin looks bigger too.

If it rose then it's not the blade. But I don't understand how fixing the blade in the middle of your cycle will cause a malfunction in the baking. It shouldn't impact the mechanism. How many more minutes do you have before the bread is ready?

The loaf is quite small. It cuts about 8-9 slices I think. The salesman told me it's good for a family of 4-5. Assuming your consumption is about 1-2 slices per member it's alright. Definitely no leftovers.

Hope it's just a one-off problem and the machine's fine, happy mama.

It has started to bake at 45 minutes! A little strange today coz the last round I recall it was slightly more than 1 hour. Don't know if bread will be fully baked by then... but who cares! It is baking now! Happy happy! :dancing: :dancing:

Happy mama....your raisin bread looks yummy....nevermind about where the raisins land....as LKVM said before as long as tasty and yummy, everything lands in the stomach in a mess... :lol:


Btw, what raisin brand you use? I use the sun-maid raisins. I never take care how I pour in but I pour in within 30 seconds after I hear the beep. However, I do remember a trick my mother used when I was young...I saw her putting some flour on the raisins before putting onto her desired dough.

I did a google, it says putting some flour(some only ok and use bread flour...otherwise may affect the bread)on the raisins, this will prevent the raisins from sinking down to the bottom only, so it can spread itself around the dough.

Ok thank you so much ksi. I used Red Man raisins which I bought from Phooh Huat. Maybe I should buy from SL in future?

Hey such a good idea to put some flour on the raisins. Will try next time.

In the meantime, I am :xedfingers: :xedfingers: because I encountered some problems when I tried baking this morning. Z machine seems to have died on me. No sound for the past 2.5 hours! :stupid:

Sun maid raisins, not Sun Lik....Sun Lik are those BIG raisins maid bought. Sun maid raisins can get from NTUC.

One loaf I cut 9-10 pieces but the size is not equal, smaller on the sides of course. Is that enough for your family? You may hv to quick bake 2 loaves if your family consume bread big time.
