I understand your son not wanting to bring the matter up to his teachers as it would be embarrassing for him. How about asking your son to post this on facebook and maybe word will get around and the shirt will find its way back to your son?Hi fellow Rafflesian Parents,
Just wonder if any of you had encountered situations when your ds brought home white shirt that is obviously not his or with the wrong size during PE days?
According to my ds, this mix-up happens all the time, when the boys just threw their shirts onto a pile and happily went for their PE lessons/soccer games and etc.
Recently my ds brought back a stained, soiled and worn out shirt 2 size bigger than his! I was fuming mad :x . The shirt he wore to school that day was a brand new one, he barely wore it for half a day :stupid: . He said he tried asking around but the group is too big as there were a few classes having PE that day. Although this is the first time in his >2years at RI, I'm still very angry with him (for not taking care of his belongings) at what happened. I wanted to call his teacher/the school/etc for help in finding his shirt as I believe some others should also be in the same situation. He was :!: He urged me not to embarass him as my action will make him seem like someone who cannot handle his own affairs.
Am I sweating he small stuff? What will you do if you are in the same situation?
To avoid this in future, maybe you can write your son's name inside his shirt so that if it's taken by mistake, the person knows who to return it to ? In the meantime, tell your son he has to pay for the replacement shirt.

My DW has been complaining about this for the last 2 years. My son will either bring back other boys' t-shirts, shirts, ties, extra text books, worksheets, calculators, etc. A check with other parents and it since to be very normal. The boys will be able to sort out themselves after sometime but there are cases where they cannot get back their own stuff. My DW has the same thoughts as yours and she get the same feedback as yours from my DS. My DS told me that their schedule is quite pack and have to ensure they have to be fast to maximise their time to learn more. sigh...Hi fellow Rafflesian Parents,

I am seriously very tempted to do that although it will be unsightly. What if the ink runs? He will not mind 'paying' for the shirt in order to placate me. But that will not make me less angry. :x

So, it's really a common occurance? Perhaps, it's a gender thingy? sigh...

I can accept it if it happens to primary school kids, but to Sec3s!! :?
Ok,ok..I'll try not to sweat the '$MALL $tuff'. Maybe, men are created not to be petty about such things. -

Get fabric pens. They won't run and won't get washed off.

My wife and I also had concerns on the time-consuming travel to Yishun for this CCA. On months when there are shooting competitions, we were told the boys can be expected to train 4 to 5 times weekly. On other months, the weekly training frequency is 3 to 4 times .[/quote]
Wondering which core cca is less time-consuming… -
Is raffles voices, the choir, less time consuming? Is the drop out rate low ie do most members stick with it over 4 years?

Erm, when I fetched my daughter from school one day when she was in sec 3, I heard her friend call her - asking .... \"did you wear my pinafore by mistake?!\". Oops! haha. So, no, it's not a gender thing. But luckily she's NEVER lost any parts of her uniform.

Hi I was just wondering…
1)Other than O lvl, A lvl and ESP notes, would topics taught in the Galileo Prog. help towards preparing for the RA bio and chem selection test.
2)Another concern is that i have not participated in any sci competitions and I will not be taking up a sci re proj. either. (i am not frm sci club. But i do attend the ESP prog.) Will this adversely affect my portfolio? Will this greatly reduce my chance of getting into the RAs? and is there anything I can do about it now? -

My son spent 4 yrs in RI and he never had any problem with his uniforms getting mixed-up. There was only one incident of him leaving his hp and wallet in his pants when he went for pe and they were stolen and were never found.
