Appreciate if anyone can share tips on how to ensure the cooked food like spagetti and fried rice still look n taste good during recess πŸ˜„

How about spaghetti in a normal container and the sauce in thermo \"cup\"?
Saw one kid doing that ...

            Hi beancurd,

            That was nice!

But maybe u should include an apple or fruit so that the box is more balance? πŸ˜‰

I included an apple for ds, but he said the apple is hard so he didn't want it. 😞

              Hi Beancurd,

I like the luncheon meat with rice πŸ˜„

I would like to try it too.. Hv some questions which i hope you can enlighten me ...

              1) Did u cook the rice in the morning? or just left over from previous night? If its left over, how u warm it up?

              2) Is tis normal rice or japanese rice with vinegar to make it sticky?

              3) The mash potato and luncheon meat - i assume its baked? If fried, doesnt't it get greasy by recess time?

              4) How do u ensure it still looks \"pretty\" given that the box may be placed in any direction in the bag when the kid reaches school?

Sorry for my long list... but am sure v tempted to try 😎
              :?:

Eh.. if the kid were to bring 2 containers, wouldn't it be extra weight in the already bulky bag? :?

During my DD CCA day, she has to bring 2 boxes, one is for recess time, another for her lunch...I use an extra bag to pack food. no choice lah...

                    Smurf,

I cut 2 slice of apple for her n put in a zip lock no more space in the lunch box lol

                    Poohbear,
Is plain rice not jap rice I just cook it with slightly more water so it will be more sticky. Sometimes if there is rice left over I will keep in fridge next day I will preheat using rice cooker.

Lunheon meat is fried with extra kitchen paper to drain the oil n the red colour on top is chilli, my girl request for it

Pretty? I won't know but I always place it well at the bottom of her bag I ever thought of give her a small carrier but worry that it might be trouble for her. But I realise diaso lunch box are just nice, my sushi fit just nice so I hope it will stay as what it is but I will also let her see what I done for her before it turn messy
