Dual hand abacus means use 2 hand to speed things up. In traditional abacus, if there is an overflow of the digit to the next level, they need 2 steps to complete that. In 2 hand abacus, instead of 2 steps, they use 2 hand to shorten that. That is what I learn from my kid's CMA lesson, not sure if there are others. :?

Thanks, Phantom. I observed the speed in my niece too. Think it’s a good tool to pick up for Arithmetic.

Hi Jedamum, thanks for highlighting on the formula. That’s my concern too.

I’m also interested in sending my son to abacus training. Which is better: the traditional abacus or the 3G one?

Has anyone send their kids to edufarm or E&P learning Place? Which is better? Thanks!

Hi, I sent my boy to E & P when he is 6 yrs old. Till today (12 Yrs) he is very strong in Maths. I remember Ms Lian, his teacher told us that to be strong in Maths is to understand the concept and as long as u understand it u can do well.

Me & my hubby feel that the training he received from E&P do contribute to his Maths result.

                Hi Sally,

Thanks for the info! Ya, I agreed that maths once know the concept will be a breeze.. cos it's about logic

Had signed my son up with E&P to try out for 12 weeks.. but not taught by Ms Lian though... hopefully the stds are the same throughout the branches 😄

                    Can anyone share thoughts about

                    CMA
                    MRC learning centre
                    Crestar

                    Which is better?

I checked with the centres and all said takes at least 1-2years for results to be shown and can be rather boring for kids??

From all those reviews, seems Abacus really have some good 'value-add', but how to instil interest then since the class is boring? They may be drag to go?
