Hi, mods or Chief, could ya make this a sticky?????

      Thanks!

      What is a sticky please ? :?

Sticky means it will be placed at the top in the \"Academic Preparation & support\" grouping, easy to access the info and it will not be lost in the mass of information under that grouping of topic when it needs to be referenced.

          Hi Parents,

Need your input on this question.

The man was desperate. He used a fruit knife. He robbed the jeweller.

          -----------------------------to----------------.
          Answer given looks strange.

          Thanks.

..... What Casco has, Conquer Synthesis doesn't have :frustrated: Then there is another one by EPH and Longman.

I share your sentiment. That is why I go for books on sales because I feel that most books contain a huge chunk that does not value-add if Ilet my kids practise. So, not to increase the work load, I only select questions that are interesting for them to do. Those left out (that I think they already know), they will have a chance to do it when they do exam papers - where my emphasis is on speed and accuracy. Assessment book cannot test speed & accuracy as the format may be different.

School teachers give exercises for different connectors...some of which are from one level higher...no choice but to get them to practice. For eg, 'despite', 'after....', 'in spite of'. :?:

The answer does look strange. Is it from an assesment book or school worksheet?

                Not sure, just a try...

The answer cannot qualify as one 😢 It is found at the back of the assessment book. Otherwise, the practices given are not bad.
Quite a lot of different connectors given...so getting son to practice.

Last year my DS was in P5 and did very badly in S & T. I bought this book Conquer Synthesis and Transformation' - teachers@work Workbook5. It helped him improve. This year not yet bought a book for S & T, the school is giving enough work, and we are not finding the time to do the few assessment books that we have bought šŸ˜ž
