          b) Yes. It is stated in one of the briefing note that mon, tue & fri are english story book, other day, bring chinese book

          c) So far, all worksheets are done and return back to the teacher. Some of the worksheet need parents signture. After signing, dd will bring back to school for the teacher to keep.

lead.com? I just went there to take a look... abit weird leh... it's an ang moh website... Pls enlighten me, thanks.

My girl has 2 periods of Music yesterday but she said they didn't do anything musical but instead she was given a homework to draw a picture relating to Singapore. Why huh?

What is the difference between SS and CME? There's a text for CME but not SS right?
              Hi Callie

Apologies for the late repy, I don't log on everyday.
              The website is http://www.lead.com.sg.
The children will probably start the proper music lessons later on. Previoulsy, my kids will have to learn to read music manuscript (simple ones like identifying C, D, E etc. and the value of the notes) and write a few bars of music at the higher level. They will also learn to sing songs.

CME is in Chinese and is usually taken by the Chinese teacher. CME usually touches on moral values, e.g. filial piety. There are textbooks and workbooks for Social Studies (unless there is a change in syllabus yet again for the lower primary) and will teach the kids stuff like history of Singapore, the cultures of the various races etc.

Wow Freesias, thank you so much for the info... The things now is my girl is doing drawing of Singapore Merlion and Orchid flower during her Music class?? Or she blur, it's actually SS class?? There's only Chinese CME textbook, nothing for SS so I totally don't know what they do for SS.

Think different class different progress? My DS also haven't receive the Grammer book yet. He is doing Singapore flag drawings for Music Period, which I dunno why too. For SS and CME, also dunno what's the diff. But when I asked him to pack his bag last night, he packed the yellow chinese book for SS today. :? Never mind, trust him 😎

btw, how many hours do your children sleep at night ? currently my DS sleeps at 11pm and wakes up at 7plus am.

Wonder if he is lacking in sleep as he always fell asleep in the school bus in the evenings. Just hope he doesn't fall asleep in class

I emailed the FT and she asked me to contact the teacher-in-charge for SS & CME for further clarification... will do that later. The FT also said that for class 1F, the grammar book will be given to the children today or tomorrow.

Apparently there is not textbook for SS lower primary and it is done in CHinese... P3 onwards will be in English. This is what I have gathered from GO when I called just now.
