My 2 sons slept with us from young. Finally managed to move them into their own room. It’s good being to sleep without getting kicked or crushed during the nights. This is one of the good bits having 2 kids - they give courage to each other to sleep in their room.

Yes, I have 2 girls, once the older one was ready by 6, the younger one was also willing to go to their shared room. Phew!

Wow, ok. First of all, I would never presume to tell another parent how to be a parent. IMO, there is no hard rule or a particular age that works for all kids.

But with that aside, I am surprised that "never" is not an option on the poll.

My kids have never slept in my bed. That’s not to say that you couldn’t or shouldn’t have your kids sleep in a bed with you if that works best for them… but it has never been necessary for my kids (they have never gotten upset or complained about it, even when they were newborns).

I choose to sleep whenever I want with my parents. This applies only to the weekends, public holidays’ eve and school holidays. Sometimes its me and my mother, me and my mother or me and either one of my sisters. Us five all sleep in the same room once in a while. Two on the king bed, three on mattresses (not the makeshift ones, though…)

Why I somtimes sleep with my parents? Honestly, its simply to bond. I could sleep perfectly fine on my own, but I love them alot. Seriously.

guess we’re lucky then. kids have been sleeping alone in their own rooms since they were like 2 or 3. Initially would call out in the middle of the night when need to go toilet, but after a while could go on their own - we use a night light in the living room, and on the toilet light when we sleep…

Anyway, my 8 year old has been sleeping on her own since the day she was born. We have a baby sound monitor that lets us hear her when she is awake or trying something funny.

Our little one also has been sleeping on own since day 1

my 2.5 year old boy has been sleeping on his own since 4 months. He doesnt like the cot so he sleeps on sofa bed. i wanna let him slp in his own rm but hubby is worried said wait till he is bigger.

my younger one is only 2 mths, also slp on his own bed…

actually hubby worried if we co-slp with the kids, he "may" accidentally crush them…

My kids have been sleeping in the same room with us...hubby sleeps on mattress on the floor beside son.
Hard to get them to sleep in own room. My 6 year old gal must sleep beside me and makes sure I am beside her all night.

From 0 age, my child already got a big queen size mattress in the room, and belong to my child.

😄 We are thinking of downgrading the mattress to single mattress and put on a bed instead of floor, once reach maybe 5years old, depending whether child can control bladder yet.
