She suggested getting the \"Bread Machine Cookbook\" by Jennie Shapter from Lucky Plaza. Said that the bread book has some good and simple recipes to follow; and that as we become more confident, we shd try other breads too. She also mentioned that the book is less than $10.
What advice did Ivy share?
The other suggestion is that we can use CSC unsalted butter. Not the tub or slab of butter/margarine. But those 10g individually packed ones - something like those found at Buffet tables near the bread rolls section. One small pack is equivalent to 1 tbsp. So no need to measure butter, just open the cover and drop into the bread tin. Easy peasy
The 3rd thing she mentioned was that if we find it hard to shake the bread out after baking, then lightly oil/grease the rotating shaft so the getting the bread out is easier.
Hope that helps :celebrate: -

Thanks Schweppes. That's good advice. btw, where in lucky plaza can we purchase the book? Thanks.

The lady mentioned that it's Big Bookstore at B1. Not sure what's the address

My butter cake made using Z machine. It certainly doesn't look as good as it smells and tastes... and definitely different from the picture in the recipe. Could it be because of the flour I used? Or the size of the eggs? Or the reduced sugar? :? and why is the colour so dark. :?

Yes, you are right. I used light crust mode. I used cake flour instead of all purpose flour.
