Each home treatment session is $55, although I recall the charge is the same if done at the salon too. I have short hair, but I think it's the same charge for longer hair.

How the henna colour will come out on your hair, depends on how your hair \"takes\" to it. My hair colour is originally very dark, so when I first started on henna, it was hardly noticeable, except at certain angles in the sun. The greys initially turned out kind of reddish, over time with continued henna treatment, greys are now deep red.

Generally unless one has a large patch of greys in one place to start off with, an initial henna treatment would unlikely turn out very glaringly reddish over the whole head. Probably where the greys are, those would be reddish like highlights and the rest of the hair, would just be probably a shade or two lighter, if original hair colour is not very dark.

Hi CMF, thanks for the info. Btw, do u know which salon provide the service? Cos I did come across a few but I don't know if they use natural stuff or added chemical inside.

The only salon I know is the one run by this lady who also does home service. She essentially does both home & salon henna service all by herself. So she operates by apptm only, i usually just text her for an apptm and she calls back to confirm details once she's available. I can PM to u her contact / salon details if u require it.

I have been having white hair since my early thirties and now it is getting more and more. Is there a natural wa to reduce the amount of white hair instead of having to spent $ to have chemicals on my hair regularly ? I have tried taking hair supplements and he shou wu but there is no effect.

Essentially pure henna powder is derived from the henna plant. Henna is a natural colorant and its properties help strengthen and conditions hair. If you were to get the pure henna powder (from what I know, it's available at Tekka Market from the small shops that sell other types of spices and powder), that would be in the purest form, which you can mix with olive oil, red wine etc to form the paste.

For those commercially bottled ready made henna dye, shampoo etc, you would have to check out what else are included to ensure that they are all made from natural ingredients etc.

As I have only been having the home-based henna treatment, I am not familiar with any particular brands of henna powder, shampoo etc, but I guess if the ingredients list pure henna powder and does not contain any chemicals etc, it would help to condition / nourish the hair too.

Getting older is also getting white hair. However, you can probably use dye to recolor you hair as it will be black again. If you really want to cover the white part, there are more alternatives for it.
