CHIJ Family of Schools

Agreed...will be most ideal if there is affiliation but not all schools have tat. BTW are all the CHIJ family sharing the same teaching methodology, curriculum and all SA/CA papers used the same or up to each CHIJ?Both my girls are in CHIJ Kellock. Personally I feel that it is impt to look for a Pri School with Affirmation to Sec and JC. The reason is that it will require a very min PSLE score to get into the Express Stream of the Affinated Seconary school.
I feel less stress in a way and also I dont really stress my girls too much thinking that there is a backup plan.
I'm keen to know more abt CHIJ OLQP, that being the nearest to my place. Any sharing pl...

It's up to each school. Although in P6, they would take a common PSLE Prelim paper set by the CHIJ Board, apart from their own school's Prelims.

Hi,
How do you assess them in terms of their academic performance, teachers, students, environment please? Tks for sharing... :celebrate: -
Hi,
I just found out that CHIJ (Toa Payoh) do not accept parent volunteering. I'm staying between 1-2 km away. Can anyone advise whether I will stand a chance? :?: -
Hi
I am also \"a lazy mother, do not want to stress myself and my gals on the academic area - just wanna them to be happy and be confidence of themselves.\" But I dun wanna my girl to lose out toooo much....heheh...
I live near CHIJ (OLN) and i am an old gal of Henry Park which is very far from my place.
Anybody can advise should I enrol my girl in CHIJ(OLN) or travel the distance and opt for Henry Park instead?
Really appreciate any comments....been thinking about this dilemma ever since my girl was 3+ yrs old...
Thanks!bebe:
My elder gal is in P1 this year..so far so good.mom_of_3:

I have great memories from my time at CHIJ and think the school had quite an influence on how I turned out. But I realise that was some time ago, things may have changed. If anyone has daughters there, please share
I am thinking of PLMGS because of my affiliation to the church but have little idea what the school's like. Thanks a lot! -
Henry Park and CHIJ are very different schools. Would you prefer to have your child in an all-girls school or a mixed school? A Catholic one or secular one? Someplace near your home or further away?
Personally, I would prefer an all-girls school thatβs near home. And having come from a Catholic school myself, a Catholic school. -
I read the compilation of past balloting records and it seems that only last year did CHIJ Katong did a balloting for those more than 2km. Anyone can help to confirm this? I am staying more than 2km and wonder how good my chances are in Phase 2C. Anyone has more past data?

Among all CHIJ schools, only CHIJ Katong and CHIJ OLQP conducted balloting for those out of 2km last year for phase 2C. The rest balloted either within 1km or 1-2km. If u want to know the exact number of applicants out of 2km vs places, u have to call up the school to ask as MOE doesnt publish this info. It only publishes total applicants without distance breakdown info. -
I will be sending my daughter to CHIJ Katong if the balloting situations for Phase 2B > 2km for CHIJ Toa Payoh and St. Nicholas do not improve.
Does anyone know if CHIJ Katong has school bus service to Tampines?
