not easy to find sub-$30 branded running shoes. no brand ones should be easy to find though e.g. at markets.

the assumption is that the more ex the shoe, the better the cushioning. i think true to an extent. the bata power shoes i tried before looked great and were cheap but were mean to my heels and knees when i ran in them.

however, if you into forefoot running, then the shoes’ cushioning not that important anyway and can afford to get a cheap running shoe.

New Balance is no longer cheap........

try Anta, from one of the shops in Quneensway

this is Chinese brand....they are no different from the branded ones....probably run off from the same production line...if u know what i mean
I got my Erke from Queensway at only $39. I expected the sole to run-off in 3 exercises. It's still holding up pretty well after 8 😃

Err... I tot most of these branded shoes like Nike, Adidas, NB etc are already made in SE Asia regardless of high or low range.. u means we still can get from those made in US, Europe?? Now is either China, Vietnam, Indonesia...

I received a HWZ’s ad email today on a GMarket (some online ecommerce portal), they are selling a model of Adidas running shoes at slightly over S$30 (cant remember exact, think is $33-35).

Maybe can get from SAF Running Shoes where at $30 could be possible.

If hope to get a decent pair of adult running shoes at $30, then i’m afraid that is not possible anymore at this time anymore. In fact, even 20 yrs ago also not likely.

All branded running shoes (nike, NB, adidas, Saucony, Brooks, Asics, reebok, etc.) are now made in china, indonesia, vietnam or other low-cost countries, regardless of range. u just need to look at the flap to tell.

And if you’re hoping to find good deals when there are warehouse sales, then you should be careful too, cos u might be in for a surprise at how unscrupulous some of the companies are. The really cheap ones are usually gonna give way real soon. You must be very discerning and lucky as well, to get a really good deal.

                      Good luck!
