          Hi Mincy,

My niece used to send her son to iGenius. She said it’s pretty good and her son enjoys the lesson. I used to send my son to Shichida, and I too consider the course to be pretty good. Some of their activities are pretty similar, even with ESP, but iGenius don’t use flash cards like the way they do in Shichida.

Like Blackdas mentioned above, when our children do not pay attention or keeps wanting to go to the washroom, you really feel like $$$ going down the drain…

I’ve recently come across a site which introduces Mandala - it’s one of the activities used in Shichida for photomemory. It’s one of my son’s favourite actually. Not sure if anyone of you have seen it… I am looking forward to receiving the books cos I always lack the materials to practice at home. Too bad it’s the only thing they have at the moment…

For those who wish to find out more on right brain training, you may get hold of Pamela Sue Hickein's latest bk \"Right Brain Education - Changing the world, one heart at a time\". I think is available at Maha YuYi bookstore.

Just started sending my kids to iGenius. iGenius claims that they use flash cards to train children to think faster, but they do not flash the cards at a faster rate. This is because when kids go back to school, the rate at which the school teachers teach is still moderate, and if kids are taught at faster rate at enrichment centres, they will feel bored when they are back at school and may even lose interest in their studies.

According to Professor Shichida, flash cards are shown to children at the rate of 1 second per card, as this is to activate the right brain. If the speed is more than 1 sec, it becomes left brain training.

Well you could also consider incoporating music especially learning classicla music. There is alot of research showing that playing music engages and trains the whole brain. Ahh… now I remember. You should watch this episode of natgeo series My Brilliant Brain; born genius. There was this music prodigy who ended up becoming a neuroscientist or doctor(cant remeber exactly). He later did extensive research and found that there is no one activity that uses more parts of the brain than playing music.

you could pm me if you are interested enrollment for classical music by Singapore’s first classical music prodigy. I don’t know if many people outside the classical music scene know of her and that she is a singaporean.
