hi 3vs, may b u can find out from the bus drive the location of the pick up point tat is nearest to yr place. And assess whether u can be that at tat point up at tat stipulated time.

3VS:
School bus no slots as well.
Yes, I thought so that as there are suppose to have enough slots for all the kids. I am very surprised that they can do anything to help exept to ask me to wait as I will be on the waiting list. -
Hi Herbie
I had also tried to call other bus operators as well as the bus coordinator but still no use.

Oh, this is new to me. I know of many ppl stay much further than you have no problem getting their seats/slots with the school bus. Perhaps you should escalate this to the school.3VS:

To be frank, I had also tried calling the school. Was told is no use speaking to the OM, but the lady who picked up my call was very helpful. She called ssta and also cant do much,

Perhaps you should call and work together with the ssta OM to see how other buses can help by rerouting to your area. -

I think what Herbie is saying is to be at the pick up point of the student nearest your home so that the bus driver can pick 2 students up at 1 location. The driver has to have a maximum number of stops or else he won't make it to school on time. Or this won't be feasible either if there are no more seats on the bus??
If there is enough demand in that area, the school should try to engage another bus operator. Ooops, have to edit my earlier post, did not realise you are already sending your dd by taxi. -
If u are sending ur dd to school by taxi, maybe it would be cheaper to engage a regular taxi driver on a long term basis, and ask him to charge u a cheaper flat rate instead of flagging one every morning and going by the meter. I know some ppl do that. Then maybe u can pool with a few students to share the cost. But coming back time is another problem.

Hi all
Many thanks for all your reply.
I got Herbie suggestion, called the bus operators nearby my house but all says they have no more slots for another child in their bus.
I had also been trying to get a regular cab to send my DD but not successful as many taxi dont do this now. I am now sending her by taxi and then coming back by bus daily. This is really very taxing… -
